  • Heart of the Adirondacks

"Our family had such a wonderful time at Moose Lodge and we would highly recommend it to anyone as a home base in the playground that is ADK. The place is described to a T; clean, beautiful, and well appointed. We all got up and got in some exercise in that mountain air every morning. Fantastic area for walks, runs, hikes, or cycling. Really recommend riding north up Route 26 toward Duane Center then down route 30, or along route 60 toward Paul Smiths/Gabriels to 86 and loop back around to Loon Lake up route 3. My dad and I rode down to Lake Placid one morning; beautiful ride. Great hikes to a number of remote mountains close by. Way fewer people at the trail heads up this way than down around the high peaks areas. Definitely do Crusher mountain; so easy, and a great payoff. We recreated at Loon Lake for some portion of each day during our stay too, and it is stunning. We swam, and used the provided floaties, canoe, and kayaks. While paddling with my wife and daughter, we had a Loon pop up just over a paddle length from the canoe and hang with us for a moment. Nothing like a mountain lake! Though we didn't do any fishing, unfortunately, there look to be some prime places in this region, including Loon Lake. Noticed a couple of flippin' sticks available for use by the entrance of the lodge too. Plenty of literature about the surrounding area is provided. We browsed and planned what to do next while relaxing around the house and deck at mealtimes and in the evening (in between shooting shuffleboard downstairs with my daughter). The drive up Whiteface is a must. Seeing the sights of Lake Placid and Saranac Lake are too. Everybody had fun on the boat tour of Lake Placid. If you're into craft brew, you gotta spend some time in Lake Placid and Blue Line breweries; good folks good brews. We really enjoyed the Wild Center in Tupper Lake. We did so much, but felt like we just scratched the surface. Can't wait to visit again. Hope you have as much fun as we did."

  • Great location, great place

"5 stars overall. The owner was very responsive and made the whole rental experience very easy. The house was very clean when we arrived, and ready to go for the stay. Very spacious too - easily accommodates 8-10 people. The location is great if you're looking to rent a boat, kayak, or canoe - Rivetts marina is about a mile away. Great location to some nice hiking spots as well (Bear mountain, Bald moountain) although we didn't get a chance to check them out. Overall a great experience."

  • Simply breathtaking! Best place to stay!!!

"This is the second time we rented this log cabin. The first time we rented it was 2 years ago for my husband's 50th birthday in the fall and this time for my 50th birthday. We could not have picked a better place for such important events/milestones in our life. You cannot beat the location of this log cabin. It is right in the middle of the village where there are endless things to enjoy for all ages 1-100 ! I truly thank the owner for opening their amazing home so that we all can experience the breathtaking views Lake George has to offer. I truly cannot say enough good things about this home. It is very clean, rustic but with modern amenities. It is just PERFECT!"

  • Our second trip to Camp Happily Ever After!

"This home has everything you could ask for and more. The location is perfect-right on Lake Hadlock. Our three families had so much fun last year, we had to come back. The kids talk about the house all year long and count the days until we return. We've made such beautiful memories at this home. All 9 kids played outside the entire week. The shallow area is perfect for little ones and the older kids explored the deeper parts of the lake on the kayaks, paddle board & pedal boat provided by the owner. It's also a great spot to bring our jet ski. The house is very clean and the owner provides more than enough linens and paper goods for the week. The three floors of the house allow for plenty of space for multiple families to enjoy. The house is beautifully decorated like a log cabin-the kids especially love the giant moose head in the living room. Lake George Village is minutes away as well as shopping at the outlets. We highly recommend this home and hope to return every summer."
