  • Beautiful Farmhouse in Serene Setting

"I rented the Davidson Family Farm for some family and friends to stay in while attending my sister's wedding in the Capital Area of NY State. Although the property is located in a lovely and remote spot, it is less than an hour to Albany, Saratoga Springs, Bennington, etc. The property was beautiful and well maintained. We slept 10 people easily. The family responded quickly and courteously to all inquiries. We really enjoyed our time at the house and would be glad to go back."

  • A Perfect Embodiment of Pure Berkshires Beauty

"I must confess that I found this listing after another lease agreement happened to fall through at the last minute. Well, that's the best thing that could have happened to me, a blessing in disguise. Loving all the Western Mass summer attractions, I never stayed on the New York side of the Berkshires before. If that is your concern, don't fret. Tanglewood is less than 25 minutes away, and many other great spots are also close: the Shakespeare Theatre, Barrington Theatre, museums, great restaurants, and lots of hiking and nature. I've been staying in the Berkshires for years, and this property has the most beautiful view I have ever seen. It's so open, bucolic, serene -- and the backyard is well maintained, so sitting in the back, and playing in the grass, is a joy not overwhelmed by bugs and wild growth all over (all of that is kept at a safe, but beautifully close, distance). The house itself is spacious enough to be comfortable for several people, and it's VERY clean. This is important when you're staying so close to the woods and mountains. I didn't see anything more than a couple ants while I was there. It's not an overstatement to say that my summer stay in the Berkshires this year was magical and unforgettable; and Rick's family's place allowed that to happen. You can tell that he and his family love this house and take good care of it. That's always a good sign. If you want beauty and comfort and all things Berkshires, then this is a wonderful place to stay. You absolutely will not be disappointed. And, it most certainly helps that in all his dealings, Rick is quickly responsive and easy to reach. I strongly recommend."

  • The Search is Over!!

"This was our first home rental experience and I searched long and hard on several different websites to find the perfect home for a very special family vacation to Saratoga. I truly did find it in this home. The home is VERY spacious, beautifully decorated and absolutely immaculate. Even the lovely pictures don’t do it justice. The master bedroom, with its double doors, beautiful ensuite with garden tub and separate shower, and HUGE walk-in closet is a retreat unto itself. And there is a huge room downstairs that is great for gathering & socializing. There were 9 of us and we certainly had plenty of space. The home is well laid out, with an impressive and welcoming entryway which truly made you feel as if you were coming home. The owner is very sweet and an absolute joy to work with. Everything went very smoothly and was well thought out and communicated. She even left some welcome refreshments for us, including (knowing we were from Vermont) some Keurig Green Mountain k-cups in “Vermont Country Blend” – a kind gesture that did not go unnoticed. She was even kind enough to send to me an item I thoughtlessly left behind. A rather unexpected bonus was LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! We were SO CLOSE to everything! A short drive to town, even shorter drive to the State Park , SPA and Casino, and truly just minutes to the back entrance of the free parking lot at the race track (our preferred place to park). A great way to avoid traffic on a busy race day (we went for Travers week). We could not have been more delighted. We also were very pleased with the HOA facilities and went down there several times to enjoy the pools & beach. The lake is gorgeous and we found that we were conveniently situated just a very short drive to a place that rents canoes & kayaks, etc. I would absolutely recommend this home. It is in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood with ample parking and easy access to the highway. The week flew by too fast and we will always consider this our Saratoga home away from home. Thanks for a fabulous and truly memorable vacation!"
