  • Beautiful house that was very clean and accommodating for large groups.

"We had a great relaxing week at the lake. Sharon has everything you need in the house and at the lake. Our girls loved using the kayaks, pattleboards and row boat. The fishing was good even off the dock. The house is very dog friendly even with a gate on the giant porch."

  • Cozy, Charming and Lovely Grounds

"Bruce was an absolute pleasure to work with. I reached out to him a week prior to an impromptu weekend gateway, and he responded immediately. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised at how tasteful decorated and well-organized the place is. The owners' attention to detail is apparent throughout the house, from neatly-labeled soap dispensers to perfectly stacked books. Our young children loved the toys and books, and the expansive yard with a swing set, hammock, and meticulously maintained flower beds. The owners live right beside this cottage, so we had the chance to bump into them here and there which made our mini-vacation extra intimate. While the younger children napped in the house, I sat in the backyard and watched my older one on the swingset. With the mountains in the background and hearing nothing but the breeze blowing through the leaves, I wondered how one could ever get tired of this view. The only down side is that the house appears to have been converted from a farm house, so noise and light insulation is definitely lacking. One can easily hear conversations in the bedrooms upstairs and vice-versa. But Bruce's hospitality has more than made up for it. Thank you for making our family weekend in the Berkshires simply sublime!"

  • 3 week vacation

"The property location for my Family could not be better, easy to town and to the track. Joanne, is a pleasure and she takes pride in her home. The corner can be a bit busy and noisy, but the activity is "interesting" The yard is a bit tiny, and I've tried to convince Joanne to drop in a small pool back there, that would be "heaven" and really set it apart from other options in town The house flows well, everything worked and when we had an unexpected AC issue, Joanne jumped in like a soldier and got it resolved. Our only "gripe", was the condition of the living room couches that I feel need to be replaced and some of the condition of the wool area rugs. The Outside grill either wasn't working, or we just couldn't get it to. As a premium priced location and a premium priced property, I feel this review is very fair but there are many options on the market, but there are NO Joannes"

  • Has Everything and More

"This is a great place for a get-away. Everything you can think of is there and supplied. Landlord supportive, friendly and responsive to any needs. We will be returning for sure! Downsides is the neighbors dog that is on a 2nd floor balcony and the dog faces the property and constantly barks at us. Not under the control of the landlord and the neighbor does not seem to care. It is annoying and disruptive. There is no swimming off the dock - too many weeds. The in-ground pool fixes that or you can rent the pontoon boat and head Northwest to a place on the lake that has no weeds and boats gather to swim . . . . a "concession boat" anchors there with hots and hamburgs as well as beverages. Great day trip. This is an impressive property and is immaculately clean - it would easily be a 5 of 5 if not for the neighbors dog and the lake weeds."
