  • A beautiful and peaceful getaway!

"I have been going to this house every summer for the past couple of years. The scenery is beautiful whether you're peering out at the many private acres from the deck of the house or from the dock at the lake. There are tons of different activities such as fishing, swimming, and boating. Make sure to bring some hot dogs or hamburgers to grill at the lake and some marshmallows for some late night s'mores! It's a great way to get away to somewhere quiet, peaceful, and private. The owners/family are incredibly friendly and very welcoming. It's a perfect fit for any age and I highly recommend!"

  • birthday get-away to the country

"When you first walk into this lovely guest house, you are immediately taken with the spaciousness and light filling the room from the many windows and the sun coming through the skylights. The closets in the guest house have a stylishly, Franklyn Lloyd Wright, etched design on glass and the King sleigh bed enhances the lay-out of the guest house. The bathroom has an incredible jacuzzi tub and it a great room conducive to a soothing and relaxing evening. We were surprised at the efficiency of the electric heating as the room warmed up in just a few minutes, which was reassuring since it was expected to be a cold weekend. Tanya, our host, was especially gracious and greeted us warmly and left us a bottle of wine to enjoy and familiarized us with the appliances and things to do in the region. The Mill-Norrie State Park had scenic, graveled paths to explore and the movie theatre in Hyde Park had bargain matinee's for $5.00. We ate a fantastic dinner prepared to perfection at Terrapin in Rhinebeck and had a delicious breakfast at the Matchbox Cafe. I would return to this charming guest house with no reservations."

  • Cozy, convenient, beautiful... we loved it!

"I met up with a group of college friends for a weekend of hiking and reminiscing. The house was perfect for us. It slept everyone comfortably. The great room provided us with all the space we needed to reenact the Big Chill, and we thoroughly enjoyed the cozy blankets, sofas and beds. The bathrooms and kitchen were clean, cozy and easy to figure out. All of the trinkets and musical instruments around the house offered us a lot of entertainment. We chose the place because it was dog friendly, but it would be great for those who don't travel with pets. Within a short drive from the house we found great hiking, shopping and restaurants. I can't wait to go back! Thank you for helping to make our reunion so great!"
