  • Peaceful and picturesque

"My husband and two daughters wanted a place where we could meet my sister and her husband to spend Thanksgiving together. We live in the Boston area and she lives in D.C., so the location was just about right in the middle. The farmhouse was perfect---the kitchen was well-equipped, and the owner thoughtfully left a blender and mixer in case we needed it (we used the mixer to whip cream for our pumpkin pie.) Ann was accommodating, the house was clean and cozy (the wood stove in the kitchen kept us warm!), and the property is lovely. My daughters built two snowmen by the little pond, and we enjoyed the views, especially from the upstairs bedroom. All in all, this was the perfect spot for a relaxing holiday!"

  • Fall family reunion at The Barn

"I stayed at the Barn with my wife and daughter for a week in early October. It was our first trip to the Catskils/Hudson Valley area. We really didn't have a preference regarding the location of our stay, but we were drawn to the pictures of The Barn, and having great interest and appreciation for old buildings and barns we decided to give it a try. The property was actually better than the pictures once arrived and were able to take it all in. The Barn is a few hundred feet from the road, but its extremely quiet and the land surrounding the Barn is private and well designed and maintained. There's a large, nicely appointed deck with a grill, and there is a hammock and tree swing that invites you to engage with the property from different points of view. The interior of the Barn was exactly as pictured. There is a balance of rustic, exposed structure and the white/black color scheme that allows the walls of the space to function as a gallery. The interior design is well thought out and the space is thoroughly curated. We found ourselves curious about everything displayed. it was like staying in an exhibit, but from a practicality standpoint the space functions perfectly, and is actually quite comfortable and relaxing. Our Daughter is 3 years old, and we knew from the pictures that there is a spiral staircase that serves the second floor bedrooms, and clearly there would be potentially fragile objects within her reach. We were there for 7 nights without any real concerns or incidents. We didn't expect the space to be child-proof and were extra attentive with here. It turned out that our daughter was extremely interested in the displayed items. Being under three feet tall she had a unique perspective and spent a lot of time pointing things out to us that we hadn't yet noticed. There is wifi, and wireless speakers that serve the interior and exterior of the space. There is Netflix, Hulu, and cable. There is a lot to explore if you leave the house. We drove to many of the surrounding towns, but we probably barely scratched the surface. We appreciated the publications from the owner that referenced the Barn, and also mentioned some places to eat and shop nearby. It was really much more than we expected, and we think the price is extremely reasonable for the product."

  • Wonderful, relaxing home!

"This property is absolutely gorgeous--secluded, peaceful, with beautiful gardens and several walking trails at the back of the house. The house itself was immaculate, modern, and incredibly comfortable. We have a toddler, and the house set up--multiple bathrooms, a downstairs area with twin beds, a futon, and a kids' play table--was perfect for a family with a young child. Gianni and Angela were wonderful as well, and they have created a very special, lovely vacation home. Close enough to NYC for a quick getaway, and with a clear view of the night sky in a beautiful setting, this was really the perfect house for a Catskills vacation."

  • Amazing Experience

"The property and owner was great. She kept us up to date on arrival time and gave us some info on the house and all its amenities. The bedrooms where spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked with equipment and was easy to use. The pond was nice to look at and walk around. The surrounding area was peaceful and beautiful. The Town of Jeffersonville was 10 minutes away and had a store and some great restaurants, Teds Diner is a must. Overall this was a great experience and we will defiantly be back."
