  • A beautiful and peaceful getaway!

"I have been going to this house every summer for the past couple of years. The scenery is beautiful whether you're peering out at the many private acres from the deck of the house or from the dock at the lake. There are tons of different activities such as fishing, swimming, and boating. Make sure to bring some hot dogs or hamburgers to grill at the lake and some marshmallows for some late night s'mores! It's a great way to get away to somewhere quiet, peaceful, and private. The owners/family are incredibly friendly and very welcoming. It's a perfect fit for any age and I highly recommend!"

  • Perfect Summer Getaway

"Our family just spent 5 days at this beautiful property. We had the best time. The weather was perfect. The property is gorgeous. Very big and very private and serene. The house is a typical old country home. We had some issues with a couple of door knobs being loose and falling off, so we tied butcher twine around it and made due. The kitchen doesn't have a lot of cookware. There were no pans for the oven so if you plan on using it just bring some disposable cookie sheets. There are no curtains or blinds anywhere, but you don't need them considering how private the whole property is. The bathroom could use a new shower head and that's about it. Considering the fact we spent 90% of our time outside the inside didn't really bother us. The pool was fantastic and extremely clean. We had the best time sitting around the fire pit at night. Our dog had the best time just running around the huge property and rolling around in the grass. We saw deer everyday and bunnies and beautiful birds and dragonflies. We want to thank you Michael for the wonderful stay. The caretaker was a very sweet guy. You have an amazing property that provided us with some of the best memories of a perfect summer vacation. Thank you."

  • The peaceful country getaway you've been dreaming about

"I was getting fed up with city life and was dying for somewhere green, cool, calm and quiet. This fantastic house fit the bill and then some! It's on a spectacular site, up a hill and backing into wilderness, so when you stop your car outside the house, all you see are green trees and green grass. It's noisy - but only with the sounds of birds, crickets, frogs and mysterious rustlings in the woods. The house is SPOTLESS, beautifully designed, and equipped with everything you'd ever need: a gas grill outside, pots and pans for cooking everything from pizza to banana bread, washing machine, dryer, clothesline, clothespins, comfortable linens, extra pillows and blankets, etc.etc. There are two single beds in the basement downstairs, a double bed in the loft/attic, and a fold-out double bed in the couch. There are two ponds on the property that fascinated my small boys, with fish, frogs, frog eggs, newts, nesting birds, dragonflies, and bees. We saw a big turtle, a rabbit, deer on the road, robins, turkey vultures, goldfinches, cardinals, and more. The birds zip through the air all around you, and the comfortable chairs on the porch are the perfect place to sit any time of day with a glass of wine and gaze at the lovely scene around you. Gianni and Angela are terrifically kind and hospitable, you feel like you're visiting friends instead of renting a house. They just started a vegetable garden, so new guests may be able to pick and eat fresh tomatoes and other treats. We caught fish in the pond (large mouth bass) and grilled it, and it was delicious. We went into town for the farmer's market and ice cream, but otherwise didn't leave the property. It's that fantastic. The one drawback is that the house is quite open, and you can hear people walking anywhere in it. So if one person in your party wakes up and starts moving, everyone will wake up unless they're really deep sleepers. Probably not a problem for most, but something to be aware of. All in all, it was a fabulous long weekend. My sons wanted to stay forever."

  • Perfect rustic cozy cabin retreat

"Perfect rustic cozy cabin retreat. This adorable cabin had all the amenities we could hope for and our dogs loved it. Close to local attractions, restaurants and lakes. We enjoyed breakfast on the screened in porch, relaxing in the Adirondack chairs in the yard with the dogs exploring the yard on convenient tie out anchored on a tree near by. Very enjoyable weekend. Thank you Loretta for opening your cabin to us, Heather, Guy, Lily, Leila and Daisy"
