  • Great multi-family lodge!

"Visited with 5x Families, including six kids ranging from infant to teen. Had a wonderful time. The location is fantastic. Walking distance to the lodge / lifts cannot be understated! To be sure, this is not a luxury condo. However, it has everything a large group needs to have a great, comfortable time: lots of beds, bathrooms, complete kitchen, large living room and dining table. We look forward to visiting again!"

  • Catskills winter getaway at Armstrong Elk Farm

"My family of six, all adults, booked the home for a ski/snowboard/snowshoe weekend in February. The house was large enough for all of us. Plenty of chair and couch space to all stretch out. The location was perfect. I was snowshoeing the northern peaks of the Catskills, and my kids were snowboarding at Hunter. Windham was even closer. No problems with access in the winter. Everything was great. Full kitchen and cable tv's in several rooms. Good internet service. The owner, Les, is a taxidermist, so there were an unbelievable assortment of animals in the house that rival any nature center. All NY native species. I felt this added to the New York mountain feel of the home. I didn't realize it was a shared house with the owner, as he had a separate unit in the basement, but Les was great. Very knowledgable about the area and helpful. We also enjoyed the hot tub out on the deck a couple times. Spectacular views of the mountains. The family room also had a fantastic WSW exposure that had great afternoon sun. There are a lot of Windows on that side of the house, so it felt great. There is a nice wood stove in the family room also, but it was a warm weekend, so we never got to use it. Only issue we had was that the master bedroom was a loft room and our kids were up later than us, so they had to keep the volume down, as the family room was right below us. Overall a great experience."

  • Beautiful, quiet and secluded!

"We had an amazing time staying at the house. The property was on quite a bit of private land, in complete seclusion. Our dogs had the time of their lives running around the backyard off their leashes. The hot tub and fireplace were a dream to further relax us. The town of Tannersville was very cute with good restaurants a nice antique shops. It's close to everything! The town, grocery store, wine store, hiking, waterfalls etc, were all just a 5-10min drive away. The house had everything we needed and was very cute and quaint. The mountain views were spectacular as well, and the leaves changing in mid-October were breathtaking. Jack was very accommodating as well, a perfect host. I'd definitely recommend staying here!"
