  • Nice and cozy

"Just as described and pictured. Lauri was very accommodating. Location is unbeatable as it is close to EVERYTHING including , of course, Hunter! Restaurants , shops all with in walking distance. House is cozy and has an old feel for sure . A bit dark and house shows some wear and tear - again it is an OLD house- but it worked for our short stay. Plenty of space ! The lay out worked very well for our crew of 17 ( 3 families with young children + a couple w/ out kids). The price is great too and the 1 night minimum was a huge plus for us as it was just an overnight trip. Would recommend to any large group like ours ( w/ or w/ out kids) wanting proximity to the town and looking for good value no frills place."

  • Rustic, natural beauty and comfort

"The barn was exactly as advertised. It is an authentically restored barn that makes you feel like you're living in the past, but with all the comforts of the present. We would awake each morning and stroll in to Tivoli, which is the most charming little Hamlet, but which also has great coffee and a gourmet food store. The barn has a great kitchen, so we were able to shop for fresh food and cook our own meals. We also built a fire in the pit outside and roasted marshmallows at night. The location is fantastic -- completely secluded and yet only a two minute walk into Tivoli. Bruna was an amazing host and very attentive to our needs. We had a great time. One tip: Beware that this is definitely a restored barn, so if you're staying with another couple, you will hear the floorboards creak when someone moves."

  • Comfortable home at Hunter Mountain

"We enjoyed our stay at Mary's Hunter Mountain place. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cookware. There were towels and paper products available as well. We were close to the ski area where the German Alps Festival was being held which made it convenient for our group. We didn't think to ask about air conditioning and ,unfortunately, the unusually hot weekend made it a bit uncomfortable almost anywhere without A/C, but Mary did have a few fans available which helped. There is a nice deck area with tables and chairs to use, also. We would definitely recommend this home to others, particularly those coming in for ski season. Mary sent lots of good information in advance making our time there enjoyable."
