  • Peaceful and charming

"My family (5 of us including 2 twenty-year olds, a 16 yr old, and 2 dogs) were in search of a long-weekend-end-of-summer getaway. It had to be ON a lake, and my husband needed to be able to smoke his pipe in a peaceful place. We found it. This house is exactly as it is in the pictures: charming, bright, comfortable. We swam, fished, and sunbathed off the dock, and watched the bald eagles and a hummingbird make their way through their days. It really was the perfect getaway, and we wished we had booked an extra day. It is cozy, that is for sure, but it wasn't a problem for us - the two girls shared a bed and our 16 yr old (6' tall) had his own room. The beds are full-sized, not queen sized, so we were a little cozier than we expected, but we managed. All in all, we had a great time, and I definitely recommend it."

  • Amazing

"All I can say is positive from booking to leaving. The owners, the house, just simply amazing. The house is settled on 42 acres. Great distance to most restaurants/stores. House is clean and well decorated. The owner is a very well know designer. All I can say to the next guest, visit the farm right down the street if you have kids. They were so friendly and gave my son a personnel tour of the farm and the animals. Can't wait to go back!"

  • A beautiful and peaceful getaway!

"I have been going to this house every summer for the past couple of years. The scenery is beautiful whether you're peering out at the many private acres from the deck of the house or from the dock at the lake. There are tons of different activities such as fishing, swimming, and boating. Make sure to bring some hot dogs or hamburgers to grill at the lake and some marshmallows for some late night s'mores! It's a great way to get away to somewhere quiet, peaceful, and private. The owners/family are incredibly friendly and very welcoming. It's a perfect fit for any age and I highly recommend!"

  • Quiet, cozy and comfortable escape

"My wife and I with our dog stayed 4 nights in the week between Christmas and NYE. Excellent location to just get away from NYC, wake up to a fresh blanket of snow and explore the surrounding areas. Make sure to have an AWD vehicle since the road getting to the cabin can be somewhat challenging with a layer of fresh snow and ice underneath."
