  • Heathers place was fantastic. It was cozy, clean and in a beautiful natural setting.

"Heather lived on the property adjacent to the cottage and pointed out the area and the natural stream in the back. Her dog greeted us in the morning and fit right into our family. We had a great time!"

  • cozy, clean, organized with an spacious sitting room and awesome fireplace.

"We had a fantastic time skiing at Windham over the Holidays. The restaurants we visited were all delicious-Bistro Brie &Bordeaux, Vesuvio, The Brown Bar, Chicken Run and Catskill Mountain Country Store. We are 4 adults and 1 teenager and spent most of the time on the mountain or at the house. We were supposed to be 3 more people, 2 adults and 1 child, but they couldn't join us because of work issues. The house is as pictured and very clean. There was plenty of space for us. The kitchen, dining and sitting areas are very open and comfortable. The fireplace is fantastic. We had fires in the mornings and evenings. There's a place in town where you can pick up wood. The bedrooms were comfortable with plenty of linens and towels. (We each travel with one pillow from home.) There are 4 bedrooms on the first floor, 3 are large with plenty of closet space. One is smaller with no closet , and houses the washer and dryer. The washer and dryer are large and work well. The washer is not an HE so your clothes will get clean! The queen beds are on the small side, but 3 of the rooms have twin beds which could easily be pushed together. The upstairs queen bedroom is the smallest, with no closet space. It was nice though because most of the upstairs is given to the shared living space. We didn't cook in the kitchen, but there's plenty of space to work, and very clean. There are 2 nice size decks we didn't use because it was winter. One is right off the dining area. The 2 bathrooms were clean, both with one sink, a large shower and no tub. The foyer is designed nicely for skiers. It's a large area to hang and store wet jackets, pants, boots, and helmets. The grounds are as described. There's a fire pit by the pond, and the property backs up to game land that allows hiking, hunting and fishing. Bring some orange clothes. There are some very expensive houses being built along Mill Rd. One of them has a hockey rink complete with a large score board. There was often a game being played. Now about wifi. It was slow. You could use it for emails and texts. We all travel with iPads and follow news and snap chat, and steam videos, and movies, and vlogs, and tv... We had to use cellular or it wouldn't download. Maybe wifi can be jacked up? We have Verizon, so I upped the data plan to XXL and the cellular was very reliable. Overall we would highly recommend the house and the area!!!"

  • Fabulous mountain retreat!

"My family and I recently had the great pleasure to experience Eagle View ranch in the Catskill Mountains of New York, an easy drive from our home in Northern New Jersey. Eight of us, ages 19 to 60-something, arrived there for a long weekend in late October and were immediately blown away by the stunning natural beauty of the surrounding area, the estate grounds, and the house itself. The estate sits on some 200 acres of beautifully landscaped property within a naturally wooded setting, offering, among other features, miles of hiking trails featuring cabins and other out-buildings, a lovely pond (with dock and small boat) for fishing in warmer months and ice skating in Winter, a stable housing a horse, goats, and chickens, an all-terrain vehicle course, tennis court, and more. Top-flight skiing at Windham and Hunter Mountains is available just minutes away. The main house looks out onto a neighboring mountain and features spectacular views. There are spotting scopes and binoculars in the house for guests to use to look for eagles and other indigenous animals, as well as for observing the the starry night skies. Regarding the main house, it is simply unique! From the overall architectural design to the smallest detail, not one square inch has been overlooked. Walls of glass, a massive family room with a 30 foot fireplace, gourmet kitchen with a commercial walk-in refrigerator, hand-carved wooden doors and drawers, bedrooms featuring fireplaces and jacuzzi tubs, a media room with theater seating, pool room-the list could go on and on but, suffice to say, guests will never lack for comfort and activities to enjoy. Perhaps the single most memorable element of this jewel of a property was the hospitality that was shown to us by our hosts, David and Michelene, and their full-time caretakers, Tomas and Sylwia (who live in a separate house on the grounds). David and Michelene made every effort to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Tomas and Sylwia, wonderfully gracious and kind people, greeted us upon our arrival, made sure that the house was in order and that we had everything we could possibly need and more throughout the weekend! We would love to return, perhaps in Winter to enjoy some cold-weather sports, but the estate has such charm that any time of year would still be a treat for the senses. I'm already thinking of a graduation party or, perhaps a family reunion, or, maybe a wedding? I would happily reserve Eagle View for any event."
