  • Fabulous house! Fabulous host!

"This house is architecturally interesting and lives well. My extended family of seven adults and one toddler had a fabulous week-long stay in this Woodstock home. Kudos to the host, who was always prompt in responding to my questions both before and during our stay. We were about ten minutes from town, which made trips to restaurants and shopping easy. Also, this is a great area for hiking and fishing. I'd highly recommend renting this vacation property. -RG from NC"

  • Really nice house and a great weekend!

"We were very pleased with the house and we had a great time. The location was really good, we went to Belleayre all three days and it was very easy to get in and out. The area is quiet and even though the house is on Route 42, there was barely any car passing by. Everything was clean, the beds were comfortable, the heat worked nicely and the fireplace was very cozy! However having rented several houses already there were somethings that we would have liked: - The dinner table was for four, even though the house is supposed to be for eight. We could have added more chairs but there was not enough room at the table. The kids ended up eating at the coffee table, seating on the floor. We would have preferred to eat all together. - There was nothing in the house which sometimes takes you out of an emergency: oil, salt, sugar, paper towels, etc. - The fridge was not working properly... even though we put the temperature low, it still froze most of our food and we ended up throwing away fruits and veggies. We really liked our stay Margaret was very easy to deal with and the rules are very clear and easy to follow. I will totally recommend this house to friends. Thanks!"

  • Beautiful place near Hunter Mountain

"The house was perfect for our weekend away. You can tell that the owners have put a lot of hard work into making it a beautiful, comfortable place to stay. It was a great home base for getting to Hunter Mountain, and was also very cozy on the day we mostly stayed inside because of a thunderstorm. We especially loved having the fireplace, and we also enjoyed the hammock chairs in the living room! The water pressure in the kitchen was a little weak (but fortunately not in the showers!!) but the kitchen was great overall for cooking with a group. We would highly recommend this house for a relaxing weekend."
