"This cabin was a perfect retreat for a relaxing and fun weekend! Very comfortable and clean and extremely well stocked with anything you could need. Not only is there plenty to do on the property, but also make sure to take advantage of the surrounding area and activities. Hope to come back soon!"

  • Beautiful spacious home with a very unique design

"We enjoyed a wonderful weekend at the house with 3 families. It is a beautiful and spacious home with a very unique design. The great room has a nice real wood fireplace and the owner even provided wood for us to use. The basement is a great place to hang out with a tv room, pool table and ping pong table. The kitchen is very well stocked with cooking utensils, plates, cups, silverware, etc. Very nice beds, linens and towels. The home is very close to skiing, shops and great restaurants. It was a great experience dealing with Robyn the property manager."

  • Perfect for a Family Get-Together

"We recently invited our two adult children, their spouses, and our two little grandchildren for a long Columbus Day weekend at this lovely home just a few miles from Woodstock. The house was comfortable, well-stocked and charming, with lots of living space, updated kitchen and 2 1/2 bathrooms. Everything was spotless. The four bedrooms were large and the beds were comfy--well set up for our family of 8. A wonderful surprise was the children's playroom/family room stocked with toys, which kept the kids happily occupied when we weren't outside. Loved the screened-in porch for morning coffee and a glass of wine at sunset, while looking out at the private backyard surrounded by tall pines. The house is perfectly located--easy access to Woodstock with its shops and restaurants, Kenneth Wilson State Park for hikes and kayaking/canoeing, Saugerties (walk to the lighthouse), and other fun places. Our host Leda was very helpful and always accessible by phone. What a wonderful weekend! We hope to do it again."

  • Quaint little house in a great location

"We very much enjoyed our two night stay here near Woodstock. Just two of us, we were looking for a quiet getaway near some hiking trails, and this small house served its purpose well. The house itself is small, you enter to the living room and kitchen offset from that. Any more than a close couple and maybe a child would be pushing it, size wise. There are two bedrooms, small but comfortable, and one bathroom. The kitchen is a lovely place to make a meal, and has a large window overlooking the back yard, and woods. We were there around Thanksgiving, but the backyard looked enjoyable if the weather was better - chairs and a fire pit up against some woods. Other reviews have mentioned it is just off a road, and while it is, its not a heavily traveled road. Its also very conveniently located if coming from the city - near 87, and a couple minutes to 28 if you are driving further in to the mountains, and only 10 minutes from Woodstock. The only issues we had were the lighting and the water. Its very dim, and there is little overhead light, so we had to contort ourselves a bit under lamps and so forth to read comfortably. Second, the water must be from a well - very strong sulphur smell, especially in the bathroom, so you have to keep that closed. I don't know if there is anything to be done about that, but its noticeable; they thoughtfully provide water for drinking and cooking in kitchen. Wifi is strong, the TV is connected through Roku, not cable, so you can't watch live TV. Also to consider, its not the most up to date, fancy place - its totally comfortable, has everything you need, but its not modern or newly redone. The owners were easy to communicate with via text, easier to get in and out, that was great."
