  • Perfect weekend getaway from NYC

"My husband and I arrived with our dog around 10pm on a Friday night and Lainy was waiting for us with a perfectly heated cottage. The cottage is close enough from Lainy's house that if we need anything we can run over, but far enough to ensure complete privacy. The woods behind are beautiful and perfect for a stroll with your pooch. Very quick drive to both Phoenicia and Woodstock, and the property is easy to locate on the path. The skylights located throughout the cottage were a big plus. I loved being able to see the moon overhead in bed. My husband made really good use of the small desk in the bedroom. Overall we all had a great time and we will definitely return in the future."

  • Close to town, great location!

"We had a really good time at Sled Hill Suites. A group of 10 of us plus one 18th month old baby and a small dog stayed here from Friday to Sunday. Judy was very accommodating. We didn't arrive until around dinner time and Roger, the property manager met us at the house to give us the keys and show us around the property. It's located on a super convenient block. You can walk to town, to the meat market, and pharmacy. We grabbed lunch at Shindig twice...it was THAT good! Judy recommended Cucina for dinner and we also really enjoyed it. One night we decided to stay in and cook. Kitchen was well equipped and the dining table downstairs fit all 10 of us."

  • Woodstock Magic

"Secluded but not remote, modern but cozy, eat-off-the-floors clean with a well-stocked kitchen and a wrap-around deck with gorgeous views of rustling trees, Sage is a magical cabin in the woods. From higher-tech touches like a CD/iPod stereo, cable TV and Netflix to smaller touches like plenty of extra towels , up-to-date travel guides and the right kind of coffee filters, Mirav has thought of everything necessary to make guests happy. Mine was a mother-daughter trip so we brought an inflatable bed and it fit perfectly in the bedroom. There is a pull-out sofa, but there is so much sun in the main room that it'd be hard to sleep in there. Of course, the sun is not a bad thing. The many windows brought the outdoors inside. Lots to do in the area: Horseback riding at Payne Too Farm in New Paltz, sailing with Captain Jerome's Tivoli Sailing charters in Kingtston, Opus 40 sculpture garden in Saugerties. And so many restaurants: Red Onion and New World Home Cooking in Saugerties, Oriole9 in Woodstock (actually not a tourist trap) and many more. We were sad to leave and will be back soon!"

  • Such a comfortable, wonderful historical house!

"We were a party of 6, including my husband, myself, our 3 adult kids and one if their significant others. The beds were clean and comfortable and there was plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. Also a great kitchen and 2 dining areas to choose from. Internet was fast. And it was a nice break from having a tv on! (there's no television in the house). A short drive to town, GREAT hiking options close by. It was the perfect weekend and would make a wonderful week-long rental. Sarah (caretaker)was readily available, tho we didn't have any problems or issues so never needed to call on her."
