  • Felt like home!

"We are a family of 5 with a 9, 7 and 4 year old. The cabin is very cozy and welcoming, with three comfortable bedrooms. The kitchen has everything you need to cook and stay home. We found games, books and dvds for the children. There is a large area in front of the cabin in the woods where the children could run and play. It's a few minutes drive from Woodstock, its restaurants and its stores. Very convenient! Jill is great to communicate with, we received all the information necessary and she's prompt to reply. I love the fact that it has been recently renovated all in wood. It feels like a chalet in the mountains in Switzerland! We'll definitely come back! Jeanne"

  • The "Happy House" was a very Happy Place!!!!

"Our multigenerational family rented this house for the month of July and it was the perfect place for our summer vacation. We used the house for long weekends and some full weeks. Our group consisted of 3 couples: grandparents, married children, and 3 young grandchildren. the house is well located near the town of Woodstock and has beautiful mountain views. The house was immaculate and well supplied. It was a big plus that we had air conditioning as we hit a stretch of very hot and humid weather. Another great feature is that there are multiple living areas which works really well with larger groups. The house also has an amazing stereo system with a huge collection of CDs. The heated pool and patio were fabulous both for hanging out and relaxing for the afternoon, or for a quick dip after a day of hiking. In addition, there were 2 play houses in the back yard with slides and swings that were perfect for our 5 and 6 year old grandchildren. Judy, the house manager was extremely nice and very helpful. She met us on arrival to show us around and she was very prompt in responding to any questions we had. This was our second summer in Woodstock, and this house was perfect for exploring the area or spending the day the pool. The Woodstock area had so much to offer for all of us. There are many trails for hiking, the Woodstock Animal Sanctuary was great for the kids as was the water park in East Durham. There are lots of farmer's markets or you can pick your own at some farms. We enjoyed music at the Maverick, and at Bard Summerscape, and took the kids to the Woodstock Playhouse for Beauty and the Beast. ALthough we barbecued at the house most of the time, the restaurants in the area were also excellent. I would highly recommend this house everything about it was perfect, we had great time and hope to go back next summer."
