  • As described; more than met our needs; a lovely getaway that we hope to repeat

"The house is very comfortable and stocked for summer activities, rain or shine. That includes just sitting and enjoying the view, eating outside or in or kayaking and fishing at the lake. We swam in the nearby state park and enjoyed visiting the Bethel Museum, too. Just right."

  • Lovely Home

"We rented this house to host a group for my aunt's bachelorette and it was perfect. We spent most of our time making food and spending time on the back porch, it was a really great escape."

  • Wonderful place to relax and unwind

"Perfect place for our 'mini-moon'! Bill is great to work with - informative and kind. The home is perfectly situated close to towns like Woodstock and Phoenicia while also being far enough away to feel the privacy of the woods... We turned the gas fireplace on every morning to enjoy with our breakfast, played badminton and horseshoes Bill has set up, and of course relaxed with the outdoor hot tub and fire pit! Can't wait to go back."

  • Just what we needed

"Our stay at Holoctt Cottage was pretty much perfect from start to finish. Paul, the owner, anticipated all of our needs and was quick to answer our questions. The cottage is even nicer than the pictures, including the views. We woke up looking out over the meadow and at the mountains. The weather did not leave us much time to sit on the deck, but we did manage it for a bit, and if the weather was better would have spent all of our time there. We found the location conducive to everything we wanted to do--we went to a wonderful farmer's market near Margaretville, the Phonecia Diner, Woodstock, and did some long walks with our dog. It is remote enough to feel completely secluded, yet close enough to have things to do if you want. It's a rare occasion for us to relax anywhere. but we managed to do exactly that here. I highly recommend this property -we look forward to our return."
