  • New Year's Eve sojourn with friends

"After traveling in weather where falling snow was supposed to turn to rain, we were relieved to arrive at our destination and lo and behold we were welcomed by majestic snow covered trees and greeted at the door by Tony who was very gracious and already had the blinds on the picture windows open for us to marvel in awe at nature's winter fashion show. The propane stove fireplace was already set in motion and had a welcoming warmth contrasted to the snowy surroundings. I can't see enough about this incredibly spacious and comfortable house that Tony designed and built himself. Out of all the windows you can view the the deer and their private retreat in the woods. The house is spacious and the high glossed hardwood floors that are impeccably maintained and exceptionally clean gave the house an airy feeling. The bathrooms were beautifully tiled with stone floors and the beds were extremely comfortable with premium linens and comforters. The kitchen was a delight to prepare our meals in with many granite countertops and we had everything we needed for entertaining ourselves. The living room furniture with leather couches were very comfortable, which had not been the case with other properties we rented. Tony took great pride in designing this house for comfort, scenery, and safety. There are sensors throughout the house that light the foyers and rooms as soon as you enter the areas and the appliances are top quality. We had a most enjoyable time bringing in the New Year with this amazing house and our thanks to Tony for treating us to a bottle of wine and for the opportunity to spend time in this lovely house which he took great care to make sure that all who entered would not forget their experience there. • Easy, stress free, comfort

"Lovely, scenic, private, and convenient location. Clean, modern, well-equipped, great beds, and a super cozy living room with fireplace. Trish was attentive and available and helpful in securing space for us on short notice and it's the second time we've stayed at one of her properties. I'll call her first before calling anywhere else next time I'm in the area. Customer service - what a great concept! :-)"

  • New Years

"I recently rented this property for New Years weekend. It was a little difficult to get up to the house because it had been lightly snowing. The road was plowed but we had a front wheel drive vehicle and it took us 15 minutes of burning some rubber to get up the hill. Once we arrived, we were greeted by the owner Gisele who was staying on the other side of the house. She was very nice and told us whatever we needed while we were there she could help us. She even offered to drive down the hill to get our friends if they got stuck at the bottom. The house itself was very cozy and welcoming. There were so many cool artifacts and knick knacks. The open floor layout was great for my friends and I. There was a speaker to play music and a big screen TV. The kitchen came equipped with almost every appliance you could ever need. We did family style breakfast and dinners and there was more than enough room in the kitchen for at least 4 people to be making things at a time. I contacted Gisele last minute to ask if she would allow a dog on the property and she replied within an hour and said that was totally fine. I had 7 guests staying at the house but there was more than enough room to have more people stay and be completely comfortable. I will say, if you're staying for more than a weekend I would buy everything you need before you make the drive up to the house. We stopped in Kingston at a Walmart to load up on food & beer and we didn't see another supermarket for the entire drive up to the house. My sister who is an architect noticed the doors and windows in the house weren't completely finished but I think the owner is still renovating some small things. She mentioned it was an addition. All-in-all we had a great experience and would definitely rent the property again. It was a great getaway from the city. Thanks again!"
