  • I want to live here!!

"I couldn't love this place any more! Such a beautiful view! The patio is great! And the inside is larger than it looks in the pictures! Every window has a view of the lake! And the recliner, oh the recliner! It is super comfy!! So well stocked, even with things like plastic baggies that I usually travel with. Lots of towels. Great to have full size washer/dryer too! All kinds of great outdoor chairs, inside shed are a couple zero gravity loungers-my fav!! Greg & Lynn are super welcoming. Met with me on arrival to show how to work everything & all the fun stuff! Directions may be a little confusing after you turn off E. Lake Rd, best to go to googlemaps, then turn on Satellite view then it will make sense. So freeing to drive over lawns! The location on Chautauqua is perfect. Away from the Bridge around Bemus and away from road so very quiet! Sunsets every night are spectacular! Lots of great restaurants close by! The Springs Restaurant (turn right on E. Lake Rd & go about 4 minutes, across from Midway.) Can be in Bemus Point in 8-10 minutes! Nice little grocery store, about 5 miles away in Mayville, should have everything you need even if you are a vegetarian like me. Of about 2 minutes from the Cheese House (turn left onto E. Lake). Best cheese on the planet! Love the Havarti, the Havarti w/Dill, oh my the horseradish cheese spread, the Danish Blue and the best Bloody Mary Mix EVER! It's super even without the vodka! I only have 3 more days here, bit sad already! Can't wait to come back next year!!!!"

  • Extremely comfortable and a great location for a very good price - I'd stay again.

"Yes, as the description states, this is not a fancy ski chalet. If that's what you want, keep looking. However, if you're looking for a very spacious, comfortable, and clean place to have a great vacation and be near Holiday Valley and all that it has to offer, you've found the place. My group of 8 was very happy with our rental. We had tons of space and everyone had a bed. The living room area is awesome with a cool little bar spot. The kitchen is very large and accommodates many cooks (or those making bloody mary's while the cooking is happening). The kitchen table is a little small, but we made it work, eating in shifts or taking plates to the living room, not a big deal and extra chairs were provided. Upon arrival the first thing we noticed is that there we no throw rugs (and it was wet, snowy out). But a quick dash thru the house netted us a huge closet in one bedroom with ample bedding, linens and rugs for about 10 houses................pulled out what we needed. Only other draw back I can think to mention is that the water had a slight scent to it that was not great. However, drinking water was provided separately and I've had that water smell before,....it doesn't stick with you when you shower, so just ignore it and remember, the place is very reasonably priced! One recommendation for the owner might be to rearrange the bedrooms a touch. The smallest room had the most amount of beds (double and twin bunks). It was VERY tight in there and we hardly had rooms for duffle bags or suitcases (although there's a nice big hallway we used for that). That little room could use a small mirror as well. It might be better to move the bunks into the front room, as it is larger. Just a thought. Anyhow we very much enjoyed our stay at the Cozy Country Farm House. Look forward to returning sometime! Thanks"

  • Great place to stay!

"I have stayed at Alpine Wilderness Lodge many times over the last 10 years or so! Alpine Wilderness Lodge has a cozy, homey feel to it and is a great place to gather with family and friends. It offers lots of comfortable sleeping arrangements and a nice size kitchen to cook and hang out in. It is in close enough proximity to Ellicottville, NY to ski, shop, eat and enjoy the nightlife, but far enough away where you get that wilderness, zen feel. There is a huge pond to fish in, and lots of land to enjoy your outdoor hobbies on. Also, the owners are amazing and very attentive to their guests!"

  • Peaceful vacation!

"Our family of 8 adults just returned from a long weekend at this beautiful mountain home. The home was very clean and big enough for all of us to enjoy! The owners were very helpful and quickly responded to any questions we had! The area is very private and quiet. In the winter 4 wheel drive would be helpful. We would return to this home again."
