  • Fantastic Stay!

"We had a lovely 3 nights at the old school house. The place has been done up so nicely and sympathetically to the original school house use. There is an amazing amount of space and the place is kitted out really nicely, and was lovely and clean. Ripley is a quite little place, but Westfield next door has a little more going on, with a grocery store and a few restaurants. There are loads of vineyards and breweries to explore as well though! And the place is just a short drive from the lake Onterio and Barcelona beach. The one downside was a train track close by with trains that ran passed fairly regularly day and night and my husband is quite a light sleeper and found it tricky, but a pair of earplugs made it better. Altogether a really lovely place and a lovely stay!"

  • Perfect, relaxing getaway!

"We love it here! The cabin is so nice! The beds and furniture are comfortable, it's very clean and well cared for. Our son fished for hours a day in the gorgeous, well stocked pond for bass & bluegill. We loved being so close to Bemus Point as well as lots of other things to do. We went horseback riding & even drove to Presque Isle for a day. Perfect vacation!"

  • Not enough snow; Not a problem

"This trip was a surprise present for my husband's 30th Birthday. My original plan was to spend the weekend at The Peak snowboarding and learning to ski, however the lack of snow hindered things a little in that respect. We didn't let it get us down though! The condo was WONDERFUL! It was nice and warm when we walked in on Thursday evening, everything was clean and very well kept, all of the beds were very comfortable, the location was in walking distance to the main hotel, and it was very VERY peaceful. We were able to spend some time relaxing in the spa and taking a tour of the resort with all the Christmas Decorations and lights. We ate once at the resort and enjoyed the rest of our meals at various restaurants within just a few miles of the Condo; Dutch Village Restaurant in Clymer and French Creek Tavern and Pine Junction, both in Findley Lake. All came HIGHLY recommended by the locals and they were ALL very good! Overall, it was a really great experience and we would LOVE to have the opportunity to come and stay again next year - maybe just a little deeper into winter when snow is more likely :) Thank you for a wonderful time!"

  • Betty from Pittsburgh, PA

"I confess my prejudices, I grew up in Westfield on Lake Erie. Being at this condo for a week was the best. I spent my days at the Chautauqua Institute, a short commute. My friend spent his days at the condo doing some creative writing. The setting met both of our needs and exceeded our expectations. This low maintenance condo let us sit on the patio and take photo after photo of the spectacular sunsets. We used the pool and the fitness room. We scavengered the beach for lovely take-home stones for my garden. We ate at our favorite local restaurants and checked out the Farmers' Market each Saturday morning. Host Norm and Marilyn make everything special and will guarantee every renter a splendid experience. You won't be disappointed."
