  • Fantastic Stay!

"We had a lovely 3 nights at the old school house. The place has been done up so nicely and sympathetically to the original school house use. There is an amazing amount of space and the place is kitted out really nicely, and was lovely and clean. Ripley is a quite little place, but Westfield next door has a little more going on, with a grocery store and a few restaurants. There are loads of vineyards and breweries to explore as well though! And the place is just a short drive from the lake Onterio and Barcelona beach. The one downside was a train track close by with trains that ran passed fairly regularly day and night and my husband is quite a light sleeper and found it tricky, but a pair of earplugs made it better. Altogether a really lovely place and a lovely stay!"

  • Extremely comfortable and a great location for a very good price - I'd stay again.

"Yes, as the description states, this is not a fancy ski chalet. If that's what you want, keep looking. However, if you're looking for a very spacious, comfortable, and clean place to have a great vacation and be near Holiday Valley and all that it has to offer, you've found the place. My group of 8 was very happy with our rental. We had tons of space and everyone had a bed. The living room area is awesome with a cool little bar spot. The kitchen is very large and accommodates many cooks (or those making bloody mary's while the cooking is happening). The kitchen table is a little small, but we made it work, eating in shifts or taking plates to the living room, not a big deal and extra chairs were provided. Upon arrival the first thing we noticed is that there we no throw rugs (and it was wet, snowy out). But a quick dash thru the house netted us a huge closet in one bedroom with ample bedding, linens and rugs for about 10 houses................pulled out what we needed. Only other draw back I can think to mention is that the water had a slight scent to it that was not great. However, drinking water was provided separately and I've had that water smell before,....it doesn't stick with you when you shower, so just ignore it and remember, the place is very reasonably priced! One recommendation for the owner might be to rearrange the bedrooms a touch. The smallest room had the most amount of beds (double and twin bunks). It was VERY tight in there and we hardly had rooms for duffle bags or suitcases (although there's a nice big hallway we used for that). That little room could use a small mirror as well. It might be better to move the bunks into the front room, as it is larger. Just a thought. Anyhow we very much enjoyed our stay at the Cozy Country Farm House. Look forward to returning sometime! Thanks"

  • Perfect, relaxing getaway!

"We love it here! The cabin is so nice! The beds and furniture are comfortable, it's very clean and well cared for. Our son fished for hours a day in the gorgeous, well stocked pond for bass & bluegill. We loved being so close to Bemus Point as well as lots of other things to do. We went horseback riding & even drove to Presque Isle for a day. Perfect vacation!"
