  • A great place

"We were 7 adults and 3 children and the place accommodated all of us nicely. The place is beautiful, well kept. The kitchen had everything we needed. The views are awesome."

  • Already planning another trip to the cottage!

"We spent Thanksgiving at Rose Cottage and it couldn't have felt more welcoming and homey if it were an actual family member's home. The weather was cool and rainy, but we had the warmest stay. Traveling with a toddler, the house was well-stocked with baby gates and a highchair, and although we were tasked with cooking a rather large meal in a moderately stocked kitchen, Martha was so gracious in lending any additional pots/pans/utensils that we needed for cooking. We had the best time, and the view was beautiful (despite the rain!)."

  • Awesome, refreshing weekend get away!!!!

"This home was perfect for our "girl's weekend". It is a spacious house with lots of room to sit down with a group or just a few. We enjoyed a very refreshing weekend catching up with each other. There are many activities to do in the area or you can just hang out. We will truly rebook next year."

  • Wonderful lake experience for all ages

"We stayed for 5 nights in August 2016. With a family of 3 generations, we were thrilled that there was room and privacy for everyone. The owner was also gracious enough to allow us to bring our 2 dogs. We have rented homes on the lake for 10 years and have seen it all. Some houses didn't even have a roll of toilet paper, or a salt shaker, or some foil or a container to store a left over. So we go to the lake prepared for anything. However, this house has everything and more. The kitchen is fully stocked with more than enough cookware, utensils, plates, cups, as well as more than you would ever need. It was like being home. In addition to the fully stocked kitchen, we found many other little extras that made the stay more inviting and comfortable. The yard is gorgeous. We had a very large group and ate both inside and outside comfortably. The grill worked great. There were some really hot days, so the air conditioners were a huge relief, especially in the bedrooms upstairs. Because of the positioning of the house up on the hill, if you're so inclined, you can watch some beautiful sunrises right from the comfort of your own bed!! We had our boat with us and kept it in the lake. You do have to walk across the street for beach access, but the landlord has such a nice setup, it really didn't matter to us at all. Also, not to be overlooked, is the warm hospitality given to us by the landlord. He is wonderful. The whole week was definitely more than we expected and we highly recommend this farmhouse."
