  • Sweet Spot on the Lake

"We first met the owner two summers ago, when, due to a booking glitch, we stayed at a cottage down the road. (Our comments on that experience, "Above and Beyond", are among the reviews here). We are so glad that we had the opportunity to stay this year at Sue's sweet hideaway, our original choice. It was perfect for us (two healthy and active seniors...the steps were a great workout). We heartily concur with all the previous rave reviews. Our host was wonderful, gracious and accommodating. We hope to return to this hideaway many more times. Thanks, Sue!"

  • Wonderful cottage with a fantastic view!

"We spent the week before 4th of July at the Harris-White cottage. We were SO taken with the cottage, property, and gorgeous view! The cottage was clean, comfortable, and filled with everything we needed, including 2 refrigerators which we put to good use! It was roomy for our family of 5, and had plenty of room for visitors we had throughout the week. The property was wonderful, with plenty of parking and room for the kids and dog to run around and play catch. The fire pit was perfect, and the beach was so neat and clean, with crystal clear water. We loved the dock, and the view of the lake was spectacular. We loved the sunrises and at the end of the week we were blessed with a beautiful rainbow after a brief storm. We put the canoes and kayaks to good use, and enjoyed all of our meals at the large table on the wonderful screened in porch. We rented a boat from near-by Smith Brothers Marina, and the cottage was a perfect place to come home to after a fun day on the lake. Any issues we had were promptly responded to by Susan through email, and we were happy to meet Mary and Bob on the day we were leaving. We love the story of the cottage, with 5 generations of the family enjoying it. We are so happy to have found it and hope to come back soon, and often!"

  • Excellent value, best view we have had.

"This house is the farthest one south on the west side, right next to the Sawmill restaurant. The house was as advertised. Four bedroms with their own bathromms - hard to find. The back deck was spacious with a beautiful unobstructed view of the lake with two umbrella tables on it. We spent most of our time on the deck. We used the large dining table for nightly games and as a serving station for dinner. Wimbledon tennis week was during our stay and thetennis fans were happy with the big TV screen and the quality of the picture. We had plenty of room on the back lawn for many games of cornhole. The grill had enough gas for multiple cookouts, thank you! Only negatives were the weeds in the water, which made the lake less attractive to swim in than other places north on the lake, and the road noise. We drank bottled water because the faucet water wasn't good. None of these issues were deal killers. Our family had a great time at this location. As stated, it is a great value. We will return in future years."

  • Tranquil Retreat with Unmatched View

"Well appointed, serene and tranquil cabin with a view of Canandaigua lake that is unmatched. Comfortable and roomy, this retreat lends itself to solitude, reflection, or connecting with others without the pull of daily demands. I found my time here to be everything I was looking for."
