  • Great property

"What a wonderful house. A nicely converted church that comfortably handled a big group. Close to Cornell campus. Would definitely recommend."

  • A lovely property with great facilities and space

"We booked this for a vacation for our extended family, and were looking specifically for somewhere near a lake but not necessarily right on the water. it worked out brilliantly. Christine the owner was kind, helpful, polite and very responsive. We had eight adults, in four couples, and a baby with us and there was plenty of space and beds for everyone. The house officially takes 20+ people and it was very comfortable for 9, with two sitting rooms, a dining room, plenty of outdoor furniture, and four large double bedrooms, a smaller double, and a single. There was a cot for the baby, enormous amounts of bedding and towels available, and plenty of comfortable places to sit. The kitchen was very well stocked with pots, pans and knives, the oven was easy to use, and it was well-kept and clean. Because the house can be used for large groups, there were two fridge-freezers which was great as well as a barbecue on the patio. It was easy to cook for large groups in the spacious kitchen and there was a dishwasher, meaning that the cleaning up was pretty easy. As had a 14 month old child with us, we wanted to make sure he'd be safe outside and that we would all be able to enjoy the water. The garden is huge - a long rolling lawn with a basketball hoop, benches and firepit. There's a short walk through a neighboring garden to get to the private dock and that proved ideal. The house has a pair of canoes and paddles, which we took out on the lake several times. Owasco Lake itself has quite a stony shore, but it was still possible to swim off the dock provided you wore waterproof shoes (recommended!). There's a number of very good restaurants in Auburn - we particularly liked Moro's Table (fancy & French), Lasca's (family friendly, excellent Italian trattoria), and Green Shutters (diner-style restaurant with outdoor seating and lots of ice cream choices). The Long Point State Park near the picturesque town of Aurora on Cayuga Lake and the pretty town of Skaneateles both offered good days out. We would highly recommend this place for any family or large group looking for a comfortable, clean, pleasant place to stay in the Finger Lakes. It was lovely."

  • Wonderful Weekend

"Visited the area for Ithaca College parents weekend and Judy's Cottage gave us easy access to Ithaca, but was away from the crowds. We spent time at the college, visiting waterfalls, hiking along the lake and a little bit of shopping. All an easy ride from the cottage. Lots of restaurants in Ithaca of course, but discovered some great places in neaby Trumansburg as well. I'm sure we'll be back for another visit."

  • Water issues

"Only issue was no running water Monday morning to take showers. Also could not use ensuite showers all because it only had cold water. Not sure why that was but it was somewhat annoying."
