Perfect for kids! We spent most of our time either in a boat, jumping off the dock or fishing in the lake. We used the grill every night! We had 10 people and beds to spare!

The Perfect Property for the Explorer!

Having grown up in the neighboring village of Canisteo, I knew what to expect in this area. I, my husband, my daughter, and her three boys spent the weekend here to attend a wedding. To hear my 7 year old grandson proclaim "Wow! I've never seen fields so big" broke my heart just a tad. So this was the perfect place for city dwellers to experience a different way of life. We hiked (some of us more than others) down to the meadow, up to the pond, and to the stream to see the waterfalls. (Yes, they called me for a ride home from the falls:-) If you look closely through the tall grass you can see antique farm equipment. I especially liked the manure spreader:) And speaking of antiques, I got a kick out of the phones from the 70's! The old dials and very long cords, and they still work! The house came equipped with everything we needed for our short stay. It was clean and comfortable. Our beds were comfortable and I was pleasantly surprised at how spacious the bedrooms were, given the age of the house. We saw deer and a woodchuck, and listening to the coyotes was a real treat. For some:/ This was a lovely home and we would stay here again if the opportunity should arise.
