  • Great House with Great Views

"We stayed at Chateau Esperanza for a ladies' wine weekend and had such a great time staying at this rental home. This is our 3rd rental experience and it was by far the best. The kitchen was so well stocked with all the cookware you could need. It was open to the dining room and living room, making it nice for socializing. The 3 bedrooms were very roomy and comfortable. The best feature was the wonderful deck overlooking Keuka Lake. Great place to sit and enjoy a glass of wine. The house has some beachfront with a dock and we were very fortunate to have warm weather so we were able to do some swimming. The house even had some floats to use in the water. This is a great place to stay if you want to do the Keuka Lake wineries, which I found a lot more low key and relaxed than the Seneca Lake wineries. However, it is a short drive to get over to the West shore of Seneca Lake. We visited both lakes. We took advantage of the home's wonderful kitchen and gas grill and cooked all our meals so I cannot really provide a restaurant recommendation. The only caution I would have is for people that might have a difficulty with stairs. There are stairs from the parking area to the house and quite a few stairs to get to the beach."

  • Lakecrest Manor

"Lakecrest Manor was a wonderful , well kept jewel of the finger lakes. The cottages are well maintained, everything worked well. The beach is large enough for any lakeside purpose, the decks and patios were large enough and provided nice views of the lake. We will rent again."

  • Wonderful!

"We recently stayed for a girls weekend and the house was beautiful! The large deck overlooking the water was where we spent most of our time, there is a large dining table and very nice and comfy furniture on the deck to enjoy the view of the lake. The inside was spotless and the new bathroom is gorgeous. The kitchen was very well stocked also. We had 6 in our group and we never felt like there wasn't enough room inside or out. Some of us would drink coffee right on the dock where they have 2 chairs set up or some would stay on the deck and there was also a sunroom where we had breakfast. The fire pit on the water was great too and they left us wood, kindling, paper, etc which was very nice. The owners left a bottle of wine from a local winery for us upon our arrival and they were very accommodating and helpful. We will definitely be back!!"

  • Exceeded our expectations!!!!!!!!!

"Spent four days at Stonehouse and would have loved to stay longer. The house is a completely remodeled 1870 stone house that is beautifully decorated throughout. The beds were extremely comfortable. Enjoyed bocce ball and fire pit. There's just so much that is great about this house and would definitely recommend it. Will definitely come back if we return to the area. Great location and close to Watkins Glen which was beautiful. The town of Penn Yan with farmers market was great. We brought snacks to Vineyard View winery and enjoyed the wine and beautiful scenery (we would highly recommend the winer as we felt it was the best view and within walking distance). It was a pleasure returning to Stonehouse after touring the area."
