  • Wonderful place!

"Overall we enjoyed our weekend stay. We had a small issue with the heat when first arriving, but Grace was quick to help and figure out the problem and get the house warmed up. The house was spacious, clean and a nice little slice of heaven in the woods."

  • Great stay and impressive renovations!

"This was our second visit and it couldn't have been better. Cold outside but the house was warm and cozy. Plenty of places for gathering with lake views and family movies at night. The updates and renovations since our last visit look great. We will definitely be back!"

  • Best vacation!

"Bottom line: Most relaxing vacation we've had in a long time. The initial impression when you walk in, it's better than the photos. The cottage has very comfortable seating inside, but our favorite place was the screened-in porch. There are lots of options in the area for adventures - hiking, cycling (it can get hilly)(the bike shop in Geneva is helpful), wineries, etc., but we were sometimes torn between wanting to go out and do things, or just stay on the porch or down by the water to read and relax. Luckily we had one rainy day for that. What I didn't expect, since the cottage is on the west side of the lake, were the spectacular sunsets, with the sun setting behind us and hitting the clouds in the east. Another big plus: it was easy to cook - the kitchen has good pots and pans, etc., and there are good grocery stores and local produce options nearby. There is some road noise from Rt. 14, as it is pretty close, but it's quiet at night, and the lake, because it's so big, is really quiet. As for the train, the first time I heard it at night, I thought I was being transported in the Polar Express! We loved to hear the train! One suggestion: if you're just a couple, like us, don't forget to take twin bed sheets so that you have the option of sleeping on the porch. We've stayed in many vacation rentals over the years, and this was unusual in that: there was good light for reading; comfortable chairs and sofa for reading/watching tv; good equipment in the kitchen; lots of table space for eating; easy access to the water (no long, steep flight of stairs!). Becky and Don are gracious hosts who truly want you to be comfortable, and we definitely were."

  • Excellent in every way!

"We experienced two most relaxing weeks in this beautiful, well-appointed lake front home. It truly felt like our home away from home. Highly recommend to all seeking a quiet, centrally located home in the Finger Lakes. It is close to numerous wineries and fine dining. Thank you for a wonderful vacation."
