  • Fabulous weekend, and a gem of a place!

"Well constructed home, excellent layout, and charming decor!!! We have stayed three other places in the Finger Lakes region, and this was by far my favorite! We had 8 girls total, so we did rent the "love shack" to accommodate everyone, but it was very comfortable overall. The Kitchen was on the smaller side, yet had every thing necessary for cooking meals. And as is stated in the other review, it is a ladder to get up to bird's nest, yet just put the youngest one(s) up there! If you have kids, they would love to sleep up there, absolutely charming! The beach is beautiful, and was perfect for us all to enjoy the moonlight and a fire multiple nights. This property shares with the other house built by the owner, yet it was very private and peaceful. The cleaning list prior to departure was just common sense- "clean up after yourselves." Excellent value, can't beat the accommodations for this price. And we already booked to come back!"

  • Lovely, comfortable and fun

"We wanted a cottage on the water with a master bedroom where the morning sun would wake us. What a beautiful master suite with windows on three sides! So nice, in fact, that it was a great place to read in the afternoon with a breeze coming through the windows or just sit and enjoy the view across the lake in the evening. The remodel was a complete success. The kitchen is striking. There’s lots of counter space and it works well even with several cooks. The cabinets have everything you might need. We liked the proximity to those on the deck while cooking. Twice we had guests and the two other bedrooms both with lake views were enjoyed by everyone. The back steps may look daunting, but the large landing and wide stairs made toting down two kayaks quite doable for two sixty-somethings. We really enjoyed evenings by the fire pit on the beach, and it was so nice that the wood was provided so that we didn’t need to purchase the high priced 4 packs and maybe run out. Water’s Edge was a great place to spend eight days."

  • A Good Choice.

"Spent three nights at the cottage. It was most enjoyable-beautiful lakefront with deck and enclosed sunroom to enjoy the views. Close to town. Cottage was very clean, nice layout, stocked with everything we needed. A plus is the kayaks available for guest use. We were there for the fall dog show at Sampson State Park and had a very relaxing long weekend...and of course visited our share of wineries while there. Thank you Bryan."

  • Great spot for a family vacation

"We enjoyed our stay at the Lakeside Cottages on Keuka Lake. The owner was very responsive and concerned of our comfort and needs while we were there. It was an ideal spot for our large family to enjoy. Great deck spaces!"
