  • Really nice week

"My husband and I, along with our son, his wife and 3 daughters rented the house this past week ( Aug 6-13). Since it was so hot all week, we were in the perfect place with a private swimming spot right across the street! We made use of rented double kayaks and some floating tubes to stay cool. The grill came in handy for some dinners on the deck and we went into Penn Yan on the nights we didn't cook. The ice cream at Seneca Farms was wonderful! We found the house to be comfortable and used every corner of it at one time or another. Marlene was helpful through the reservation process and answered all our questions quickly. This house on Keuka Lake is a great spot for a family vacation. Our 3 year old granddaughter was in tears when she realized she had to go home this morning and I could sympathize with her for sure!"

  • A dream house on the lake

"My family had a 4th of July reunion. Staying at the house there were 9 of us from 6 months to 77 years old. All of the beds and bedding were comfortable and in good condition as were the bathrooms. The caretaker was always available by phone whenever we had a question of any kind. We never felt cramped or crowded. The kitchen was large enough for comfortable family meals many of which we cooked in the kitchen or on the grill. Having two TVs was a nice extra. The indoor pool was perfect for the small children, ages 6 months, 4 and 6 as the lake was a bit challenging for them. But the heated pool was warm and welcoming. We spent a lot of time on the deck in the hot tub and on the dock, watching those of us who were paddle boarding or kayaking, which we rented locally. We also used the canoe provided. Some of the group went for hikes. We took advantage of the improving number of restaurants in Canandaigua, Simply Crepes is nice as is Nolan's. The patio restaurant at the Inn on the Lake was a great place for a large party. On the 4th, my entire family came to celebrate. We had plenty of room to entertain all my sisters and their children. Again people could be inside, outside on the deck, in the pool, in the lake, so many ways to relax. Before we traveled to NY I asked the owner if there were any restrictions, he said "Just treat it like your own home." We tried to do so and to be sure it felt just like that ---only better because we were on Canandaigua Lake."

  • Soooo relaxing!

"We stayed two nights from Friday to Sunday. Weather was gorgeous! We loved having coffee on the back deck in the morning. House was very clean and comfortable. Jan was there to meet us when we arrived and was always available by text or phone if we had any problems - which we didn't Our son and his girlfriend took the paddle boat out and it was beautiful on the lake. Our beagle also had a great time hunting down all the smells! We walked around Beechwood Syate park (an abandoned Girl Scout camp). Spooky and fun! Thank you Jan for a great weekend!!"
