  • Beautiful vacation rental on Seneca Lake

"Beautiful home with many amenities! Home was stocked with dishes, small appliances, bath towels, washer and dryer. We had access to kayaks to enjoy the lake. The view is amazing, especially on the new dock! All the wineries all close, even a brewery at the top of the hill. The owners are especially sweet and very accommodating. Will definitely be back next year, already made reservations!"

  • Perfect vacation spot for rest and relaxation

"It was our first time to book a rental cottage on the lake and everything was exactly as stated in the description. Captain Joe and Pat have a comfortable cottage that fit our family of four (father, mother, and two adult children) perfectly. Our mission was twofold: to let Dad have a great fishing experience and to allow plenty of time for everyone to relax and unwind from the stress of work back home. Captain Joe found fish, but they just weren't biting. We'll have to try again next time. It helps that Joe offers charter fishing from his boat right next door. The second part of our mission was accomplished almost immediately. We arrived just before sunset and were able to witness one of the typical daily events at the cottage from its back deck and spacious porch windows. The clear water calmed, and the sun sank slowly into the lake, taking all our fatigue and stress with it. Follow the usage instructions in the notebook Joe provides. He anticipates your needs and is thorough because he wants you to have the best time ever while you're on Seneca Lake. You will find suggestions for dining, vineyard stops with free wine-tasting vouchers and local attractions for nearby day trips. Whether it's your first time to stay in the area or your fifty-first, you will feel at home from the moment you enter the back door. If you should have questions or problems, ask Joe for help. He is only a few steps away, but knows how allow for your privacy. We are missing the place already."

  • Fantastic home with stunning views is a huge crowd pleaser!

"My 5 friends and I came for 3 nights on Columbus day weekend. The house exceeded our expectations. It was lovingly decorated, had stunning views of the hills, and was very comfortable. The house was located very close to wineries, parks, lakes and Farm Sanctuary. The cedar hot tub was wonderful! The smell of the cedar was so therapeutic, and the star gazing excellent! We came with our 3 tiny dogs too. They loved having a fenced in yard to run and play! All in all it was a great weekend for everyone and we can't wait to go back! While we never met Katya she was always available by phone if we had any questions. Thank you Katya for allowing us to share your little piece of paradise!"

  • Lovely spacious home so close to everything

"The description of this home and property is not exaggerated. It was very comfortable for 6 adults and an infant and could have accommodated more people easily. Each family had their own full bathroom, which made it nice. We had plenty of room to entertain local family members who visited us. The kids were especially thrilled with the hot tub, but the adults got their share of enjoyment out of it, too. Everything we needed was provided in this lovely home, but Watkins Glen was only 10 minutes away if we wanted anything. The new Grist Iron Brewery opened almost across the street on Route 414 and having that so close was a bonus. Of course wineries abound in the area, too. Guests should be aware that you do have to travel about 1/4 mile down a gravel road to get to the home, so vehicles with good ground clearance are the best to use while staying at the house. Regular vehicles can work ok as long as you go very slowly over the speed bump. There was plenty of room both indoors and out with a huge private lot, deck and a porch. A boat launch was mentioned as an amenity, but you would need to get more info about that from the owner. We didn't find anything usable for that purpose, but we didn't have a boat, either. The AC was very welcome since we were there during a hot weather week. Nights cooled down to comfortable temperatures, so breakfast on the porch was very pleasant. There were great lake views from one of the upstairs bedrooms and peek-a-boo views between the trees from the lower levels. However, the sunset views were spectacular. The only downside was the extra fee we had to pay for cleaning. Not sure why that wasn't included in the price. I would highly recommend this home for a wonderful Finger Lakes vacation."
