  • Peaceful and relaxing

"We had a wonderful trip. The house was just what we needed for our weekend getaway. Being right on the water was perfection and our dogs had a blast."

  • Charming lakefront cabin in the woods!

"This was definitely a fun and memorable place to stay in the Finger Lakes. The cabin has the basic, modern essentials - and Christine's comprehensive list helped us plan what extras to bring. We made full use of the lake - swimming during the day, campfire at night, and sitting on the pier for a late afternoon snack. And, of course, the grill and screened in porch were much enjoyed as well. It's also wonderful how secluded you feel at the cabin, but wineries and restaurants (FLX Wienery, yum!) are an easy 10-15 min drive away."

  • Charming house with amazing views

"I will agree with another reviewer that the pictures of this home do not do it justice. The house itself is charming, comfortable, well-maintained and equipped, and very clean. Everything is recently remodeled and/or well-kept. Hammondsport is a very quaint town, and we took advantage of the proximity to many fantastic wineries and breweries (Do not miss Point of the Bluff Vineyards and Keuka Brewing Company!). What we enjoyed most, however, was being mere steps from the lake. We made great use of the kayaks, but spent the majority of our hours just sitting on the patio, watching the lake. So relaxing! (And our dog loved it too :-)"

  • A dream house on the lake

"My family had a 4th of July reunion. Staying at the house there were 9 of us from 6 months to 77 years old. All of the beds and bedding were comfortable and in good condition as were the bathrooms. The caretaker was always available by phone whenever we had a question of any kind. We never felt cramped or crowded. The kitchen was large enough for comfortable family meals many of which we cooked in the kitchen or on the grill. Having two TVs was a nice extra. The indoor pool was perfect for the small children, ages 6 months, 4 and 6 as the lake was a bit challenging for them. But the heated pool was warm and welcoming. We spent a lot of time on the deck in the hot tub and on the dock, watching those of us who were paddle boarding or kayaking, which we rented locally. We also used the canoe provided. Some of the group went for hikes. We took advantage of the improving number of restaurants in Canandaigua, Simply Crepes is nice as is Nolan's. The patio restaurant at the Inn on the Lake was a great place for a large party. On the 4th, my entire family came to celebrate. We had plenty of room to entertain all my sisters and their children. Again people could be inside, outside on the deck, in the pool, in the lake, so many ways to relax. Before we traveled to NY I asked the owner if there were any restrictions, he said "Just treat it like your own home." We tried to do so and to be sure it felt just like that ---only better because we were on Canandaigua Lake."
