  • Amazingly restful and beautiful lake

"We decided to take a week long vacation while attending our daughter's graduation from Alfred University, and boy where we happy. Prior to this week, we had never stayed in the Finger Lakes area. This house is more than you will expect from a vacation rental. It comes very well stocked and clean. We found it to be very large and comfortable, and the views make it spectacular. The hot tub increased our relaxation. We also found the surrounding area beautiful. The hills are peppered with some of the best vineyards in the world. There are more than enough to keep you busy, if you choose. Also, all of the meals that we had at the local restaurants were delicious, and that's coming from a guy who loves to critique restaurants. Our vacation was so fun, relaxing, and exciting that we have decided to go back in autumn. We were so happy with the house, we will be renting from Bill, the owner, again. This time will be staying at his smaller house next door. ( If you consider "sleeps 12" smaller, lol) We are looking to another great stay in a magnificent area!"

  • Lakecrest Manor

"Lakecrest Manor was a wonderful , well kept jewel of the finger lakes. The cottages are well maintained, everything worked well. The beach is large enough for any lakeside purpose, the decks and patios were large enough and provided nice views of the lake. We will rent again."

  • A dream house on the lake

"My family had a 4th of July reunion. Staying at the house there were 9 of us from 6 months to 77 years old. All of the beds and bedding were comfortable and in good condition as were the bathrooms. The caretaker was always available by phone whenever we had a question of any kind. We never felt cramped or crowded. The kitchen was large enough for comfortable family meals many of which we cooked in the kitchen or on the grill. Having two TVs was a nice extra. The indoor pool was perfect for the small children, ages 6 months, 4 and 6 as the lake was a bit challenging for them. But the heated pool was warm and welcoming. We spent a lot of time on the deck in the hot tub and on the dock, watching those of us who were paddle boarding or kayaking, which we rented locally. We also used the canoe provided. Some of the group went for hikes. We took advantage of the improving number of restaurants in Canandaigua, Simply Crepes is nice as is Nolan's. The patio restaurant at the Inn on the Lake was a great place for a large party. On the 4th, my entire family came to celebrate. We had plenty of room to entertain all my sisters and their children. Again people could be inside, outside on the deck, in the pool, in the lake, so many ways to relax. Before we traveled to NY I asked the owner if there were any restrictions, he said "Just treat it like your own home." We tried to do so and to be sure it felt just like that ---only better because we were on Canandaigua Lake."
