  • Beautiful & Welcoming Hidden Gem on Sodus Bay.

"This was our 4th summer coming to this super clean and private summer home on flat land (there are no stairs to climb and you are able to walk right out to the water). It also has grassy lake frontage to play games, a boathouse and a very safe fire pit. The inside of this peaceful haven has everything you need and more. It is spotless and has an awesome view with many wide windows! We have rented quite a few cottages at different locations and this one is the best! P.S. The swimming and fishing from the dock Is also wonderful!"

  • long weekend reTREAT

"We decided that we wanted a weekend get-a-way, and within minutes we were booked! Everything from booking, to the time Martha met us at the marina, went very smoothly. We arrived on Friday afternoon, called Scott & he had Martha to us within MINUTES! She took us by pontoon to the cottage where there was wine and cheese (and a bubbling hot tub!) waiting for us- it was pure relaxation for the entire weekend. Upon arrival Martha helped us get our things to the cottage, we grilled up some salmon (on the VERY clean grill), hopped in the hot tub and enjoyed the rest of our evening watching the sunset over Lake Ontario and drank some wine. (the hot tub is RIGHT on the water!!) We realized that my husband forgot to pack the eggs and Martha graciously offered to go to the camp and get some for us. The next day we watched the sun rise over the bay, took the motor boat to Sodus (to get some eggs), fished from the dock while drinking mimosas, took the paddle boat out for a spin, had a bon fire and then settled into the hot tub for another beautiful sunset! The next morning while on the Lake Ontatrio beach, my husband made the comment that "wouldn't it be awesome to see a bald eagle fly over and grab a fish out of the lake"--literally 5 seconds later a bald eagle flew 20 ft over our heads out over the lake! God is good! Although we chose to be completely isolated for relaxation, there are a few restaurants and pubs that you can get to by boat (during the light hours). The cottage was very clean. We had everything that we needed: lots of towels, pots, pans, spices etc. When we called to be picked up for our departure Martha told us that since no one else was renting the cottage for the next night she would let us stay one night for free--unfortunately we had to be back to work so we declined. They were the most gracious hosts that we've ever dealt with! Good people!!! We will DEFINITELY be back!!"

  • Quiet relaxing getaway

"This was a nice relaxed, remote area cottage for a romantic weekend with my husband and also seems to be a great family area for all ages. We did not realize it was only accessible by boat until we received the directions the morning of our trip so make sure you do your shopping ahead of time. They have a pontoon boat to get all your bags and groceries to the cottage. Then you receiving a fishing boat of your own in addition to kayaks, canoes and a paddle boat you can use on either the bay or the lake. There were lots of people fishing but you need to bring your own pole and supplies if interested (we took the boat back to the marina and drove to Walmart 30 mins away and bought a cheap one). Scott and Martha were very welcoming and gracious to provide some of the condiments we forgot to bring. If your dog is friendly they can roam around off leash and there were frequently dogs coming by to say hi to our dog. All the dogs we met were very friendly and calm even if our dog barked at them initially. We also really enjoyed the fire pit and the hot tub at night. The neighbors were very quiet- no parties here. There are amazing stars with the lake area being without much artificial light at night. We laid on our backs on the dock one night and saw multiple shooting stars and tracked satellites. The bed was comfortable downstairs. We didn't try any beds in the loft but it looks like it holds a large group. The kitchen has all the cooking supplies you need... just bring your own coffee, condiments, cooking oil, etc. The only thing that needs improving is the bathroom and some of the seating areas. The toilet seat has a crack, shower is small and the bathroom has some stains. That said the shower was hot with good water pressure; just small. The main leather couch was nice but the upholstery on the other seating areas looked worn and dusty. But don't forget the gift basket! That cheese is amazing! We bought more at the stand on the way out of town. We also enjoyed the wine, crackers and chocolates. Thanks for a great stay! I would definitely come back."

  • Great Place to Rent for Oswego State Graduation

"This property was turned out to be much more than we hoped for! We rented for the weekend for our daughter's graduation from Oswego State - only 12 miles up the road! Aunts, Uncles, and cousins joined us - a total of 10. Had everything we needed! Temperature went from 68 on Friday to 40 Saturday night - but no worries lots of extra blankets for the kids that slept on the porch. I highly recommend this property. Thanks Gus for making for such a wonderful weekend!"
