  • Great Relaxing Getaway!!

"We decided to go on a weekend getaway to the Finger Lakes. Melissa was quick to respond, answered all of our questions and got us booked into their Lakewood Lodge apartment. On our way there we took a few minutes to hit up a favorite spot in the area, Sauders Market in Seneca Falls; a Mennonite store stocked with great spices, produce, jams, and various other items. The drive down Route 89 was lovely, with lake views along several stretches. We could feel our stress begin to melt away already. The location was easy to find and sat nestled back off the road in a peaceful wooded setting. The apartment was clean and well furnished. It had a spacious living and dining area with more than enough room for the two of us. The radiant floor heat was great on the feet! The large windows offered an incredible view of the lake below, the sunrise was especially gorgeous our first morning there. The apartment was stocked with everything we needed to fix a few meals and snacks. The bed was comfortable and cozy. We enjoy the outdoors so the location was perfect for doing some hiking. We drove 15 minutes south to Taughannock State Park and hiked the falls trail. In warmer months we would love to go back with our kayaks, there are so many great places to drop in for a paddle. Within 5 miles of the apartment were ample wineries, cider houses and distilleries. Definitely something for everyone. We needed a peaceful weekend away from the city busyness and this stay delivered! We could hear the birds outside our window. Our hosts were lovely. If you are looking for a great place to get away, we highly recommend this one!!"

  • A Good Choice.

"Spent three nights at the cottage. It was most enjoyable-beautiful lakefront with deck and enclosed sunroom to enjoy the views. Close to town. Cottage was very clean, nice layout, stocked with everything we needed. A plus is the kayaks available for guest use. We were there for the fall dog show at Sampson State Park and had a very relaxing long weekend...and of course visited our share of wineries while there. Thank you Bryan."

  • Perfect, modern cottage for two or small family!

"I surprised my sister as a birthday present with this adorable little place for the weekend. She loved it! It was a wonderful location and had everything they needed for a comfortable stay. Josh and Eva do a wonderful job at keeping up with the place and you can tell they really care about their guests and their home. Thank you guys for this great gift!! Hopefully my husband and I will get a chance to stay there sometime soon! :)"

  • Beautiful property, very accommodating hosts.

"We stayed at "Hayes Hideaway" to celebrate New Years with some friends and had a wonderful time. The home and property were both gorgeous. The house is very comfortable and cozy, with plenty of room for guests to sleep. We especially loved the view, the gas fireplace, and the variety of board games. Being greeted by fresh fruit and chocolate chip cookies was an adorable touch that we all enjoyed. The owners were extremely responsive throughout the whole booking process. I would definitely rent Hayes Hideaway again and Will reccomend it to friends and family."
