  • Clean, quiet and relaxing

"This home is exactly what you want in means of clean, quiet and relaxing. The location is perfect for a great view of the lake, especially from the upper deck. There is great fishing on the lake as well as just boating and enjoying. The upper deck, lower patio area and back yard area are all great for sitting and relaxing, day and night. The kitchen is very accommodating and modern, making cooking very simple and a pleasure. Sleeping areas and bedding were excellent too! The owner, Chuck, was very friendly and easy to work with. He was prompt in his replies regarding his property and a pleasure to rent from."

  • A lovely property with great facilities and space

"We booked this for a vacation for our extended family, and were looking specifically for somewhere near a lake but not necessarily right on the water. it worked out brilliantly. Christine the owner was kind, helpful, polite and very responsive. We had eight adults, in four couples, and a baby with us and there was plenty of space and beds for everyone. The house officially takes 20+ people and it was very comfortable for 9, with two sitting rooms, a dining room, plenty of outdoor furniture, and four large double bedrooms, a smaller double, and a single. There was a cot for the baby, enormous amounts of bedding and towels available, and plenty of comfortable places to sit. The kitchen was very well stocked with pots, pans and knives, the oven was easy to use, and it was well-kept and clean. Because the house can be used for large groups, there were two fridge-freezers which was great as well as a barbecue on the patio. It was easy to cook for large groups in the spacious kitchen and there was a dishwasher, meaning that the cleaning up was pretty easy. As had a 14 month old child with us, we wanted to make sure he'd be safe outside and that we would all be able to enjoy the water. The garden is huge - a long rolling lawn with a basketball hoop, benches and firepit. There's a short walk through a neighboring garden to get to the private dock and that proved ideal. The house has a pair of canoes and paddles, which we took out on the lake several times. Owasco Lake itself has quite a stony shore, but it was still possible to swim off the dock provided you wore waterproof shoes (recommended!). There's a number of very good restaurants in Auburn - we particularly liked Moro's Table (fancy & French), Lasca's (family friendly, excellent Italian trattoria), and Green Shutters (diner-style restaurant with outdoor seating and lots of ice cream choices). The Long Point State Park near the picturesque town of Aurora on Cayuga Lake and the pretty town of Skaneateles both offered good days out. We would highly recommend this place for any family or large group looking for a comfortable, clean, pleasant place to stay in the Finger Lakes. It was lovely."

  • Wonderful Location for Large Group

"We were in Ithaca for a wedding and looking for a place to sleep the entire bridal party. At the Corner was perfect! We slept 13 comfortably and had more than enough space. The side porch and grounds are absolutely gorgeous and perfect for sitting outside. Convenient location to get to downtown Ithaca and Cayuga Lake. Will definitely be recommending At the Corner to my friends!"

  • So Relaxing!!

"My husband and I had a fantastic week at Taste of Serenity the week of Labor Day this year. It was just what the doctor ordered - so relaxing and peaceful to watch a beautiful lake sunset in Adirondack chairs. The few nights that we went out during the sunset, we commented on how we weren't gong to get to see it that evening. Absolutely stunning. The cottage is impeccably maintained and had everything we needed. The proximity to the wineries and to downtown Geneva is great. Kathy and Mike were so generous with a bottle of wine to greet us and beautiful fresh cut flowers throughout the house. This was our first visit, but I don't think it will be our last!"
