  • Beautiful, pristine house

"This house has been beautifully rehabbed and is very comfortable. Kitchen is completely stocked, and there is a gas grill. I loved the screened porch and spent mornings watching the sun rise and reading. The deck is new; I wanted to swim, but the algae was not conducive. Just taking a star off as there really wasn't any internet service- we tried multiple times, but just couldn't log in. While vacations are for getting away- I do need to respond to work emails on occasion. Be forewarned- the house is on a road which is reached by a a very steep gravel road."

  • beautiful cottage!

"Our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids) stayed here and it was absolutely wonderful! The house was just as advertised and exceptionally clean. Very spacious and comfortable with a very nice deck and outdoor area and easy access to the dock and lake. Peter and Dawn were wonderful hosts who were extremely helpful with suggestions for what to do and provided us with lots of information and history about the surrounding area. Out of all the vacation homes we've rented over the years, this was by far one of the best in terms of the house itself and the hosts. We could not recommend it more!"

  • Absolutely stunning view of the lake

"What a great place to stay with a large group. It is right...I mean right on Cayuga lake. The location is very rural and peaceful, but central to several wineries and parks. About 15 minutes from the historical town of Seneca Falls. There are four outside seating areas, including a table with seating for 8 in the lanai (FL term for screened in patio). There is also a nice fire pit that we unfortunately didn't have time to use. I went with my mother, her two sisters, a good friend of my mother's, and my poor solo-man husband, so it was nice to have the guest house all to ourselves. The property was clean and well maintained. Janice provided very good directions and customer service. The listing was mostly accurate. We had one issue and that was the bottom bunk with the double bed does not have a mattress; instead it was just covered with a thin plastic like pad and a blanket, which rendered it useless to our adult group. It was described as for children, but I guess I would recommend moving one of the real futon mattresses, for example the one in the guest house, to the bottom bunk for comfort. All other beds were comfortable. I would definitely recommend this cottage to others and may stay there again in the future."

  • Anchor Beach Canandaigua Lake NY

"Having a reunion with 5 teenagers grandchildren and children was the ideal vacation home. On one rainy day it kept the family indoor where we played games and reminisced. Otherwise plenty to do outdoor. The cottage was very clean, well kept and well supplied. We would highly recommend. Traffic on road and lake was minimal Owner welcomed us and went over the details with us"
