  • Felt like a kid back at Grandmas cottage

"I have never written a review before but I got to tell you this was one of the best family vacations we have had. Quit, private, peaceful, fun and relaxing. This small but ample cottage had everything we wanted. It really is a cottage, not a cookie cutter/hotel room style rental. We rented a boat from the marina and the dock was perfect. The kids loved fishing off it in the mornings and cannon balling off the end of it during the day. At night we sat out on the deck and enjoyed the view and played cards with the kids. It was great family time. The cottage had everything we could have needed down to the coffee filters, forks, spatulas and everything in between. My only selfish worry is writing something nice about it so that others may want to go. I plan on going back and don't want it booked up. The owners deserve cudoes for keeping it simple and elegant."

  • Great location!

"Great house for our family event. We mostly sat around that big kitchen table you see in the promotionals. Living room accomodated all 6 of us too and even able to sit out in the side yard in February sun! Fun watching the activity on the canal with the trail walk right there or 5-10 minute walk to coffee, restaurants etc. Owners were very accessible- will definitely rent from them again- either this property or their other "studio". Just be aware that parking is across the street in little municipal lots- you won't be able to pull right up to unload. Not a biggie."

  • Great little secluded spot

"We had an amazing time at this cottage. The lake is so peaceful - we loved having our coffee out there in the morning and a glass of wine at night. There is a great bench on a perch above the lake and the fire pit has a clearing to the water which provided great views. Was all in all the perfect fall getaway, walking distance past rows of grapes to two wineries and perfectly located between Watkins Glenn/ Geneva so a short drive to anything you might need. We'd love to come back in the summer and take advantage of the kayaks and bikes. Think it would be ideal for a solo couple/romantic getaway. Space-size was just fine for two couples, only complaint is that the sleeper sofa was a bit uncomfortable."

  • Very Pleased!

"This cottage was just what we were looking for- the perfect little getaway! We loved being so close to the lake, yet so close to town if we needed anything. The cottage was neat and clean, the beds were very comfortable, kitchen was well stocked, and the yard and patio were attractive and well-kept. Everything was exactly as described and we were very pleased. We really enjoyed swimming at the private beach, grilling out on the patio, and touring the local area. We had hoped to use the kayaks our last day, but it rained... so we'll have to plan on that next time, because we would definitely love to return again soon!"
