  • Gorgeous Back Yard View

"We really enjoyed the stay. Foliage was absolutely brilliant! The visit was the perfect time of the year! We took the recommended hike behind the house and that is worth the trip. Everything was as advertised, from locking the back French doors to the hot water heater. Once you get the address Google will take you to the front door. We didn't use any of the kitchen and ate mainly in New Paltz...there is plenty to choose from there. if you use this house as we did to go to West Point it is a little over an hour drive one way."

  • Great getaway

"In just 48 hours, we feel refreshed and renewed! The Treehouse is peaceful and pretty, and the host pays special attention to little details that make for a great user experience - i.e., luggage rack, bottled spring water, chairs for the deck, inner tubes for the creek, brownies (yum) upon arrival. On a hot August weekend, the best part for us was access to the clear, cool creek -- great for swimming, tubing and fishing (we did all three). This home is super-clean and very bright and will lift your spirits. Only warning: she means it about the tiny kitchen. It really is small. But, it's very efficiently designed and it is possible to make any meal, as we did."

  • birthday get-away to the country

"When you first walk into this lovely guest house, you are immediately taken with the spaciousness and light filling the room from the many windows and the sun coming through the skylights. The closets in the guest house have a stylishly, Franklyn Lloyd Wright, etched design on glass and the King sleigh bed enhances the lay-out of the guest house. The bathroom has an incredible jacuzzi tub and it a great room conducive to a soothing and relaxing evening. We were surprised at the efficiency of the electric heating as the room warmed up in just a few minutes, which was reassuring since it was expected to be a cold weekend. Tanya, our host, was especially gracious and greeted us warmly and left us a bottle of wine to enjoy and familiarized us with the appliances and things to do in the region. The Mill-Norrie State Park had scenic, graveled paths to explore and the movie theatre in Hyde Park had bargain matinee's for $5.00. We ate a fantastic dinner prepared to perfection at Terrapin in Rhinebeck and had a delicious breakfast at the Matchbox Cafe. I would return to this charming guest house with no reservations."

  • Comfortable space charming features

"We were on a college tour - Looking at Marist (20 min away) and our daughter also attending a 3 day softball showcase camp in Milton NY at Sportsdome. This home was central to many locations - New Paltz, Milton, Minnewaska State Park, Mohonk Preserve, Shawangunk Mountain Ridge, Woodbury Outlets...we hiked, dined and stayed in to relax as well. The house itself had an amazing kitchen space. The bedrooms were very charming and comfortable. Living room light filled and cozy. Large yard for pets plus deck off kitchen that was gated. Would absolutely stay again."
