  • Beautiful updated home on the lake...peace and comfort combined

"This property is exactly as pictured and does not disappoint. Beautiful modern features and open floor plan that lead out to a spacious patio and is right on the water. This is a 4 season home and can be enjoyed all year round. Only 4-5 homes on the road and very private. It has all the comforts of home-great bedrooms, baths, a fantastic kitchen, big garage, washer, dryer, dishwasher, multi zone AC, wireless internet, many TV's but it's the views that take your breath away. There is a private dock that is great for fishing, kayaking, lounging and swimming. The lake is big enough to enjoy various water sports but small enough to enjoy the quiet and beauty of the lake (sunsets are beyond words). The location is fantastic being so close to the Capital District (Albany/Schenectady/Troy). For the foodies- La Bella in Valatie has the most amazing pizza and Italian fare only a few miles away on Route 9 and next to a Hannaford supermarket. Mary (The host) is great and very attentive. This was our 2nd year visiting and would recommend her and this home over and over."

  • Privacy & Peacefulness

"If you are looking for a way to pretend you live in the country for a few days, Arborcrest is the perfect spot. Your own cottage in the woods, just minutes from all major Dutchess County attractions, it makes a great base to explore the area. We toured Hyde Park, West Pont, CIA, Old Rhinebeck Areodrome, downtown Rhinebeck, and biked Mills-Norrie State Park. So nice to come home to a large clean space with full kitchen, super comfy king bed, huge bath with super fluffy towels and a wrap around porch for catching the last light of the day or morning coffee. Why spend the same money on a small hotel room when you can have a space that is the size of a small apartment? And the owner, Tanya, was a wealth of information, like having a private concierge. Her house is in front of the cottage but we felt we had complete privacy, and yet she was there if we needed her. She also thoughfully provided coffee, water, wine, fresh flowers and even home made cookies! We would highly recommend Arborcrest as an alternative to the other lodging options in the area. Thanks Tanya!"

  • Nice little condo right next to the trails.

"We rented this family friendly condo for a zip line trip. Worked out well for 4 guys. The only thing I didn't notice when renting that there was no air conditioning. No biggie at all, but for a summer day it was a little hot. But I'm sure those days are few between."
