  • Peaceful, relaxing and beautiful!

"This was the perfect getaway for my husband and I. We crave privacy and peace and quiet, and this place fits the bill perfectly! Beautiful home decorated so tastefully, kitchen well stocked with everything you might need, and the hot tub was the cherry on top! We loved the area....so beautiful...great farms/farm stores, etc. I can imagine this place would be just amazing in the autumn, surrounded by trees as it is and the colors of the changing leaves must be gorgeous! Would definitely return!"

  • Absolutely beautiful house and grounds, impeccable style, cleanliness, amenities, terrific hosts.

"We rented the house for son's commencement w/end at Bard. The house sits on 40 acres of grounds about 1mile from Bard, so it was very convenient for events. The hosts, Harlan and Toby, are charming, gracious, and care a great deal about making your stay memorable. The house is beautifully designed and appointed, it's super clean & practical. Tobey and Harlan even have a caretaker, John, who lives in a cottage on the property, and who is extremely friendly and helpful. The entire experience was brilliant."

  • Superb place to spend time

"The property is amazing, green and peaceful, with everything you need to lower your blood pressure and raise your pleasure quotient. The screened-in porch overlooking the pond became our home (we didn't eat a single meal inside long weekends over a whole month). On hot days, the pool and garden are like Eden. Quiet road with stunning neighboring farms make it impossible not to walk nearby. A little farther afield but still a short walk away you can explore 19th century graves, pick berries and apples, and take in spectacular sunsets over the Catskills (yes, they are real mountains). Farms in the area provide the freshest and best tasting produce one can buy anywhere. And between Rhinebeck, Red Hook, and Tivoli (with Hudson just a little further up the road), you have many restaurants, cafes, and galleries to choose from. A wonderful vacation--short or long."

  • Wonderful stay

"Tanya provided a wonderful place to stay with my girlfriend, who was working in Rhinebeck at the time. The guest house felt very secluded (in a good way) and even though it was unbearably hot outside (100+ heat index) the AC worked its heart out, keeping the house cool. The bed was cozy and the jetted tub was very relaxing. We also were able to surf the internet and watch Netflix from the wireless router. It was a wonderful ambiance, and I successfully proposed to my girlfriend as well! Tanya herself was hugely helpful. From stocking the fridge with water bottles to suggesting the best restaurants (all were delicious) and beautiful locations. I would highly recommend this place to anyone, and i look forward to staying here again!"
