  • The peaceful country getaway you've been dreaming about

"I was getting fed up with city life and was dying for somewhere green, cool, calm and quiet. This fantastic house fit the bill and then some! It's on a spectacular site, up a hill and backing into wilderness, so when you stop your car outside the house, all you see are green trees and green grass. It's noisy - but only with the sounds of birds, crickets, frogs and mysterious rustlings in the woods. The house is SPOTLESS, beautifully designed, and equipped with everything you'd ever need: a gas grill outside, pots and pans for cooking everything from pizza to banana bread, washing machine, dryer, clothesline, clothespins, comfortable linens, extra pillows and blankets, etc.etc. There are two single beds in the basement downstairs, a double bed in the loft/attic, and a fold-out double bed in the couch. There are two ponds on the property that fascinated my small boys, with fish, frogs, frog eggs, newts, nesting birds, dragonflies, and bees. We saw a big turtle, a rabbit, deer on the road, robins, turkey vultures, goldfinches, cardinals, and more. The birds zip through the air all around you, and the comfortable chairs on the porch are the perfect place to sit any time of day with a glass of wine and gaze at the lovely scene around you. Gianni and Angela are terrifically kind and hospitable, you feel like you're visiting friends instead of renting a house. They just started a vegetable garden, so new guests may be able to pick and eat fresh tomatoes and other treats. We caught fish in the pond (large mouth bass) and grilled it, and it was delicious. We went into town for the farmer's market and ice cream, but otherwise didn't leave the property. It's that fantastic. The one drawback is that the house is quite open, and you can hear people walking anywhere in it. So if one person in your party wakes up and starts moving, everyone will wake up unless they're really deep sleepers. Probably not a problem for most, but something to be aware of. All in all, it was a fabulous long weekend. My sons wanted to stay forever."

  • Very impressed with Stony Ledge apartment.

"We spent 4 nights at Stony Ledge. We chose this home because it is Pet Friendly. This home is located in a beautiful, quiet country setting. We spent time thruout the day and evening sitting on the patio area, enjoying the view of the yard and trees. The apartment is very attractive, spacious, very clean, and had everything we needed to be comfortable. Saugerties is a great area to visit. We had 2 HS graduations to attend. We had dinner at the 'Dutch' and brunch at Diamond Mills.....and ice cream at Mickey's Igloo. We are extremely happy with our experience at Stony Ledge and plan to return on our next trip to the area."

  • Incredible Cabin Stay!

"My friends and I were fortunate to stay at Todd's cabin to celebrate my birthday. His home is beyond amazing and the pictures posted on this site do not do justice to his property or cabin. The views are breathtaking and his home was cozy and welcoming. The property was clean and well-maintained so we felt extremely comfortable quickly settling in. Also the amenities are just what we needed: the grill, hot tub, washer/dryer...and to our surprise there was a fire pit!!! I also want to thank Todd for his clear instructions and for listing nearby groceries, attractions, etc. It was all very helpful! We would all definitely come back to Todd's cabin...as long as he'll have us! =P Highly recommend booking with Todd and his cabin! You wont regret it! THANKS AGAIN TODD!"

  • Dreamiest quietest yummiest barn EVER

"Met my best friend at the barn for a ladies weekend and we barely left because it was so good there. The barn is a new post and beam building, beautifully crafted, filled with windows and pottery and comfy couches and art and blankets. Apart from the chickens clucking here and there, it was perfectly quiet and the night stars were spectacular. We took two long walks nearby, and otherwise were just happy to cook and sleep and be in the amazing space. John and Analisa were in their house on the property while we were there, but they are lovely and we didn't hear or see them apart from them dropping off some fresh eggs. Will be back -- loved everything about the barn."
