  • Hidden Gem on Esopus Creek

"This little house is in a magical location - it is 5 minutes from the center of Saugerties, but feels far away from everything - it is down a little dead end road and right on the Esopus Creek. The house has been beautifully renovated inside, with excellent modern appliances, comfortable king size beds, heated floors and even a heated towel rack in the bathroom! Light pours in from the large windows on the creek side, and the deck overlooking the creek is amazing. We visited for the weekend after Thanksgiving (me, my husband and our small dog), so it was too cold to kayak, but we want to come back in warmer weather! The town of Saugerties has several interesting, excellent restaurants - Miss Lucy's and Love Bites were our favorites - and several unusual shops. I recommend the bookstore on the corner of Main and Partition and the women's clothing store DIGS. A perfect location and perfect setting for a relaxing long weekend away from New York City."

  • Amazing property! Really is like a private park.

"My husband and I came up here with another couple from the city, and it was like we'd gone somewhere very far away instead of just two hours. The house is so beautiful and spacious. The windows in the living room are at least 8 feet high, and you see trees and grass and water everywhere you look (even in the bathroom!). The grounds are very well kept, and it's so private here. We all agreed that we'd gotten a rest like none other on a weekend getaway. It takes about 15 minutes to get to Saugerties and Woodstock, but the drive is really beautiful, it's all out in the country, so we didn't mind it a bit. We plan to come back later in the fall when the leaves have changed more, or maybe when there's snow. This house would be like a big snow globe in winter!"

  • An amazing stay in the most warm and welcoming cottage!

"I can't say enough things about how amazing our time was at the cottage. From the moment we stepped into the door, we couldn't stop gushing at how welcoming and inviting the home is. There were muffins left, the most delicious raspberries and other goodies in the fridge. I kept telling my husband it was the sweetest and cutest house we've ever been in. It was the two of us, our toddler and our dog. We took walks in the mornings around the house which was so beautiful and relaxing. We then went snowboarding at Hunter, and would spend the nights back in the home playing games, etc. We can't wait to be back and I can't say enough wonderful things about this home and the owners of it. Thank you so much for such beautiful memories!"

  • Beautiful property, fantastic experience

"The barn was better than I had expected (and I had high expectations!). The layout is fantastic for groups, the kitchen was beautiful and fully equipped, the property itself was picturesque. Waking up every morning to great sunlight, the sound of the forest, going downstairs and throwing open those big barn doors, it was amazing. The information provided by the owners was very helpful. I would stay here again. I will stay here again. My friends that joined me have all said they want to plan another event here. It was perfect. I couldn't be more satisfied."
