  • Relaxing and beautiful!

"My fiancé and I were lucky enough to spend four nights at this beautiful place with our dog! It is absolutely magical! The cabin is so comfortable and thoughtfully done. We could hear the creek from our loft bed. The bathroom is clean and spacious. The outdoor shower is incredible, I highly recommend it! The kitchen is stocked with everything you need (utensils, can opener, wine glasses...). Having meals on the deck, surrounded by nature, is truly relaxing. There is also a fire pit and a night sky full of stars. Woodstock is a casual fifteen minute drive away, full of cute shops and great restaurants (Garden Cafe is amazing!). There is plenty of great hiking. Big Pink is also nearby! David and his wife were wonderful, helpful hosts. We felt so much stress melt away while staying here and our dog had the time of his life! It meant so much to us to be able to take our dog with us on vacation. We can't wait to come back, we're already planning our next trip! Thank you, David, for sharing your beautiful, peaceful cabin! -Melanie, Jon and Cass"

  • Woodstock Magic

"Secluded but not remote, modern but cozy, eat-off-the-floors clean with a well-stocked kitchen and a wrap-around deck with gorgeous views of rustling trees, Sage is a magical cabin in the woods. From higher-tech touches like a CD/iPod stereo, cable TV and Netflix to smaller touches like plenty of extra towels , up-to-date travel guides and the right kind of coffee filters, Mirav has thought of everything necessary to make guests happy. Mine was a mother-daughter trip so we brought an inflatable bed and it fit perfectly in the bedroom. There is a pull-out sofa, but there is so much sun in the main room that it'd be hard to sleep in there. Of course, the sun is not a bad thing. The many windows brought the outdoors inside. Lots to do in the area: Horseback riding at Payne Too Farm in New Paltz, sailing with Captain Jerome's Tivoli Sailing charters in Kingtston, Opus 40 sculpture garden in Saugerties. And so many restaurants: Red Onion and New World Home Cooking in Saugerties, Oriole9 in Woodstock (actually not a tourist trap) and many more. We were sad to leave and will be back soon!"

  • Wonderful, Secluded Gem

"My husband and I stayed here this past weekend. Do to extenuating circumstances, our 9 year old daughter was also with us. What a beautiful cottage! It is spacious, yet cozy and the kitchen is amazing and was perfect for cooking. Master bath has wonderful natural light. The hot tub was extremely clean and a wonderful way to relax. The yard is perfect sized and we enjoyed some outdoor sports and nature. The cottage is tucked away and very private, yet close enough to the town of Woodstock, where we enjoyed our Saturday. It did rain while we were there, which didn't put a "damper" on us, as there is a huge umbrella that can be used to cover the hot tub and the selection of movies was enough to keep us occupied. Our daughter had a fantastic time, too. Boris, the owner, is such a great guy. He is pleasant and accommodating and gave us our privacy. We loved everything about this cottage and did not want to come home. We will definitely be staying again and again and again!"

  • Great getaway

"In just 48 hours, we feel refreshed and renewed! The Treehouse is peaceful and pretty, and the host pays special attention to little details that make for a great user experience - i.e., luggage rack, bottled spring water, chairs for the deck, inner tubes for the creek, brownies (yum) upon arrival. On a hot August weekend, the best part for us was access to the clear, cool creek -- great for swimming, tubing and fishing (we did all three). This home is super-clean and very bright and will lift your spirits. Only warning: she means it about the tiny kitchen. It really is small. But, it's very efficiently designed and it is possible to make any meal, as we did."
