  • Perfect place to stay. Will stay again.

"Excellent stay, location is awesome, right on the subway lines to take us everywhere we needed to go and right next to Central Park where we spent most of our time. Awesome Restaurants and shopping are close by and easy to get to, apt was clean and fit the four of us well. The smart TV was an added bonus. We felt safe and cosy the whole stay. Four stars because the water temperatures were funky, this may just be a NY thing, but it goes from cold to scalding hot and back to cold again without warning and with young children it made showering difficult. I think this had something to do with the pipes. The homeaway hosts were awesome, easily accessible, answered all our questions and allowed us to drop our bags before our check-in time. Great stay overall, would stay here again!"

  • Authentic East Village Experience

"We stayed at this property for a week in late November, and really enjoyed it. It's located in Manhattan's East Village, a rough neighbourhood in the past, but now one that feels quite bohemian, full of the young artsy crowd and all kinds of tiny bars and ethnic restaurants. We felt quite safe walking around at night. The apartment is on the 3rd floor of a 100-year old 5-storey walk-up tenement, typical of the neighbourhood. It was clean, comfortable, and functional. It felt quite roomy, with a big kitchen/dining area, a bedroom with a firm-but-not-too-firm queen-size bed, and a living room with a sofa and armchair. The rooms are in a "railroad" layout, meaning that they are all in a row with no corridor, so you have to go through the bedroom to get to the living room. Both ends of the apartment have opening windows which allows for good ventilation with surprisingly little outside noise. The apartment was tastefully decorated in a sparse French style, featuring eclectic sculptures and pictures. The apartment had many, shall we say, "authentic historical features": exposed wiring, creaky pipes, painted kitchen floor, etc. Depending on your point of view that makes it either decrepit or charming. I would say the latter. This was a classic "vacation rental by owner", meaning that the owners usually live there and only rent it out while they are away. As a result there was a fair amount of the owner's stuff in the apartment, but it didn't feel intrusive. We received a warm welcome from the owner, and there were the basics for our first breakfast already in the fridge. We had one issue during the week that was dealt with promptly. All in all, we had a great stay and we'd cheerfully do it again the next time we're in New York."

  • An Oasis in Brooklyn!

"Thank you for such a great experience! After speaking with Antoine, we were greeted by Rick that gave us an excellent check-in and check-out and he was was extremely considerate. The apartment is exactly as displayed and VERY clean and quiet. It's easy to get around to visit different sites and we were near family. Highly recommended and we would love to stay again on our next visit."

  • Awesome property

"We stayed here for our girls trip to New York City. There were five of us for most of the time and six for three nights of the trip. We had plenty of room for us, sleeping, luggage etc. the apartment is large and very nice. We didn't lack for anything it is furnished with just about everything you could want. It is very convenient to the bus lines that will take you right to the subway if you can take a nice stroll to the subway aboutv8-10 blocks. The delis and restaurants are close and the best bakery is only about three blocks away. The backyard is great although it was too cold most of Texas time for us to enjoy it. I would highly recommend this place to stay. You can walk right to the door from the sidewalk no stairs. It seemed very safe with the lock on the door and the gate that is locked to the small front porch. Will gladly stay here again."
