  • Great House & Great Host

"We stayed at the house at the end of August and it was the perfect fit for our large group. We were arriving a little early with all of our food, and Greg was very accommodating in making sure we were able to store things in the fridge. Also, our first night we noticed the propane tanks for the grill were empty, and Greg fixed the problem immediately. He was helpful with any questions we had and was easily accessible. The house was air conditioned and clean. We were 24 people and all slept very comfortably in the house. This was our first trip to Fire Island, and we can't wait to come back next year and stay at the Kismet Taj Mahal again. Thank you, Greg!"

  • The beach house name - The Kismet Palace- says it all!

"To start with the wonderful Palace people - Debbie and Elliot were super responsive, answered every question, and ensured that our week was nothing less than amazing. I have been boating the GSB and visiting Kismet since I was a kid. I have rented houses for the past 5 years. Not to say I know all, but staying at the Palace was my best 5 days on Fire Island. We will be coming back- why? You get the best views - ocean, lighthouse, and sunset. This is hard to come by! Location - this is probably underrated. 2 houses from the ocean is so key - easy lunch/ sun/ bathroom breaks. And in need of an outdoor shower - you got it! Jump on a bike and you are less than 5 minutes from the bay. Amenities- the Palace offers everything you need. Being a little bit of a beach chair snob, you have 10+ high quality beach chairs. Umbrellas, beach toys, bocce, every beach activity is all there. The house - the common area is surrounded by a wrap around deck and so perfect for a friends/ family getaway. The kitchen has everything you need (with 2 awesome grills on the deck). Every bedroom is so comfortable - AC, TV (if needed), and plenty of space. On cool nights, jump in the hot tub and enjoy the night! Kismet, in my opinion, is the best town on Fire Island. It strikes the right balance of people, things to do, nature, bars/restaurants. The Kismet Palace brings this wonderful place up another notch and is a paradise getaway. Thanks Debbie, Elliot, and the Kismet Palace."

  • Fantastic Getaway

"Spacious, modern, clean and quiet. You cannot go wrong staying at this lovely property. Right on the beach and near the restaurants on the bay. We really had a fantastic week and would go back for sure. And to add to this the owners are very pleasant and attentive."

  • Newly renovated and air conditioned!

"This house was recently renovated, the old wooden bones are there but new Sheetrock, flooring Windows bathrooms appliances and furnishings were done. It is really a great clean updated little place. Thoughtful use of space created 4 small bedrooms, all with airconditioning, a rareity on Fire Island. Outdoor decks are nicely furnished plenty of room for everyone. The only slight drawback is it is not directly connected to a boardwalk so baby strollers, beach carts and wagons have to be dragged through sand and on the Oceanside lifted up four steps to the boardwalk. Not a huge problem for us as we had a couple of guys with us to help. Casino cafe and bar, ( only game in town), Are very nice, fun, fresh but expensive so parse out your visits. Owner very responsive and helpful."
