  • Making Montauk Memories

"This was my second time staying in the "Big Blue House" as my 3 year old refers to it. This was the first time our newborn and my husband joined in! It is SUCH a beautiful house, perfectly equipped with kid friendly toys and furniture! Probably some of the most comfortable furniture I've experienced in a rental house. It is STOCKED with everything from BUBBLES to BATTERIES! It truly feels like our home away from home. Its a super short walk straight to the beach- where my 3 year old LOVES to collect her rocks and shells. The house is in pristine condition, incredibly spacious, the outdoor area is HUGE and there is plenty to do to keep yourselves occupied. The large kitchen also lends itself to fun activities you can do with the kids! Daddy and our oldest made dinner one night for the family! There is laundry downstairs as well as an exercise area with equipment so my husband was very happy for his "gym time". We LOVE the Big Blue House and would highly recommend it for families/groups. We are already in talks to plan a future trip with another family for 2016!"

  • Montauk Memories

"We had a wonderful time on our Montauk vacation and our stay here. The condo was so comfortable and cute; I could happily live here! There was plenty of room for the four of us and everything was pristine. We loved the location: pool in the front, Long Island Sound in the back, shopping and restaurants within walking distance! Life is good in Montauk! I would definitely recommend this condo by the sea!"

  • Location, Location, Location...to the beach!

"This was our first time renting a cottage in Montauk as opposed to staying in a hotel. We went with another couple and wanted a place with our own bedrooms with a comfortable common area so that we could eat, hang out and talk and this cottage met the criteria. It was also a short walk to the beach and very secluded from the main road. Alison was there to meet us when we got there and was very helpful with any questions or additional needs that we had. It was clean and quaintly decorated. From what I am told, a lot of the cottages built for only summer use in the similar price range are on the older side, with a rustic feel, and dank smell to them, as was this one. There were 2 bedrooms. The master had a comfortable king size bed, high ceilings and big windows that let in the early light. There were no room darkening shades. So, if you are able to sleep in a fully brightened room it shouldn’t be a problem. There was also a nest or 2 of baby birds living under the roof. Not sure when they leave the nest for good but they tended to get up and started chirping around sunrise (5am) which made sleeping soundly after 5am in the master bedroom a little challenging. The other bedroom was smaller (b/ still a good size) with only 1 window and shades that blocked out the sun. I know that a lot of people prefer a firm/hard mattress but I would consider bringing a foam mattress topper for additional comfort. The kitchen had all the amenities that we needed for our stay and the living room area was very inviting and comfortable. One last thing that didn’t take away from the amazing time we had but did prove to be a bit of an annoyance was the amount of flies that were in the house. When the windows were left open to take advantage of the fresh air/breezes, it appeared that they came in though the small holes in the screens. Needless to say, the fly swatter came in very handy "

  • Beautiful house, perfect location and amazing owner

"Where do I even begin?? This house was amazing! We had four couples in our group and the house more than accommodated us. I loved the kitchen/ living area being so open and bright and the large wraparound decks were great for barbecues and group meals. All of the rooms were updated and very clean and I loved the huge lawn, which I could also see being great for kids. Everyone was very comfortable and we had no complaints. The beach pass would be nice during the summer months. Also, having a paddle board and kayak were great added features of the house. The house was perfect to return back to after a long day of exploring Montauk. Lots of privacy while close to the beach and town. Stephanie (the owner) is extremely accommodating and responsive and it is clear that she takes great pride in her house. She replied faster than any other owner I’ve had experience with and was extremely informative and helpful. We actually left a shopping bag in the house with some new clothes and shoes and Stephanie was very helpful and mailed it back by express. Highly recommend and we look forward to returning in the future!"
