  • Wonderful

"We had such an amazing time at Leslie's beautiful home. The proximity to town and the gorgeous water views, with so many outdoor balconies made this vacation ideal. All the rooms were decorated beautifully, with pretty bed linens, spreads, and pillows. The large open living area was so relaxing and Leslie kept the house stocked with whatever we needed: towels, toiletries, coffee, bottles of water, bikes, movies, books, games, etc. The hot tub was also a plus. We would love to stay again sometime. You have a little slice of heaven right here in Montauk. I will recommend this vacation home to everyone, even though I want to keep it for myself. :-)"

  • Location, Location, Location...to the beach!

"This was our first time renting a cottage in Montauk as opposed to staying in a hotel. We went with another couple and wanted a place with our own bedrooms with a comfortable common area so that we could eat, hang out and talk and this cottage met the criteria. It was also a short walk to the beach and very secluded from the main road. Alison was there to meet us when we got there and was very helpful with any questions or additional needs that we had. It was clean and quaintly decorated. From what I am told, a lot of the cottages built for only summer use in the similar price range are on the older side, with a rustic feel, and dank smell to them, as was this one. There were 2 bedrooms. The master had a comfortable king size bed, high ceilings and big windows that let in the early light. There were no room darkening shades. So, if you are able to sleep in a fully brightened room it shouldn’t be a problem. There was also a nest or 2 of baby birds living under the roof. Not sure when they leave the nest for good but they tended to get up and started chirping around sunrise (5am) which made sleeping soundly after 5am in the master bedroom a little challenging. The other bedroom was smaller (b/ still a good size) with only 1 window and shades that blocked out the sun. I know that a lot of people prefer a firm/hard mattress but I would consider bringing a foam mattress topper for additional comfort. The kitchen had all the amenities that we needed for our stay and the living room area was very inviting and comfortable. One last thing that didn’t take away from the amazing time we had but did prove to be a bit of an annoyance was the amount of flies that were in the house. When the windows were left open to take advantage of the fresh air/breezes, it appeared that they came in though the small holes in the screens. Needless to say, the fly swatter came in very handy "

  • Absolutely wonderful!

"Getting ready to leave this place right now and I really don't want to. From the very best inception of booking this property, Home Away and Linda made the booking so easy. The owner immediately contacted me about the booking and providing a lot of useful information. The surf club staff was wonderful. Checking in was very easy, and we were allowed to use the facility while we waited for the condo to be ready. The staff carried down the chairs and umbrellas from the pool to the beach. The main desk staff helped when ordering a cab or if the remote wasn't working. They were terrific. Although we had a car using a cab to get to Navy beach for dinner, drinks, sunset was the way to go. The condo was very clean and comfortable with all the amenities you need. The bed and pull out couch were comfortable and the shower was the best!! The whole complex was clean and quiet. You're only a couple of blocks from town and the Sloppy Tuna. Great restaurants, lobster rolls, frozen yogurt are within walking distance. There is a small fitness room, bath house, tennis courts, lovely pool and great beach! We couldn't have loved our stay more and really don't want to leave! Thanks Linda!!"

  • Amazing Property & great vacation for the family

"Our family had an amazing time renting this property. The house was so spacious and the grounds were beautiful! our son had a blast running around on the huge lawn! Everyday we had deer that would great us at night while we were cooking or dining out on the deck. The house had so much room...the rooms are at one end of the house so when the kids went to bed they would not hear us in the kitchen/great room area or on the deck outside. The location was ideal too! You get so much privacy with this house but then you are a quick walk or bike into town. We enjoyed going to the beach everyday which is only a quick car ride, for the kids, or a walk down the hill. Chris was great to deal with and was very accommodating. We will definitely be looking into renting next year to continue our family tradition! Thank you for everything Chris!"
