  • Wonderful Escape with large extended family

"We had a wonderful time with grandparents, siblings and several grandchildren. The house was comfortable, well stocked and great for all 14 of us! We can't wait to organize another reunion next year... We had a most pleasant stay...lots of spaces for cousins to hang out and siblings to catch up and to have some quiet time on you own. Close to the ocean and town. Bonus was the heated pool making swimming in late September possible... The owners were very responsive and helpful with tips about the area and the house."

  • Location, Location, Location...to the beach!

"This was our first time renting a cottage in Montauk as opposed to staying in a hotel. We went with another couple and wanted a place with our own bedrooms with a comfortable common area so that we could eat, hang out and talk and this cottage met the criteria. It was also a short walk to the beach and very secluded from the main road. Alison was there to meet us when we got there and was very helpful with any questions or additional needs that we had. It was clean and quaintly decorated. From what I am told, a lot of the cottages built for only summer use in the similar price range are on the older side, with a rustic feel, and dank smell to them, as was this one. There were 2 bedrooms. The master had a comfortable king size bed, high ceilings and big windows that let in the early light. There were no room darkening shades. So, if you are able to sleep in a fully brightened room it shouldn’t be a problem. There was also a nest or 2 of baby birds living under the roof. Not sure when they leave the nest for good but they tended to get up and started chirping around sunrise (5am) which made sleeping soundly after 5am in the master bedroom a little challenging. The other bedroom was smaller (b/ still a good size) with only 1 window and shades that blocked out the sun. I know that a lot of people prefer a firm/hard mattress but I would consider bringing a foam mattress topper for additional comfort. The kitchen had all the amenities that we needed for our stay and the living room area was very inviting and comfortable. One last thing that didn’t take away from the amazing time we had but did prove to be a bit of an annoyance was the amount of flies that were in the house. When the windows were left open to take advantage of the fresh air/breezes, it appeared that they came in though the small holes in the screens. Needless to say, the fly swatter came in very handy "

  • Corporate Retreat

"Agreed that the property is nicer in person than pictures. We wanted to escape the city for a corporate retreat for our team. The owners were very accommodating & the house was in great condition. Every detail was handled, down to place settings on the dining table. Great kitchen, plenty of towels and linens. Location was ideal, perfectly nested between Sag Harbor, Amagansset, East Hampton and South Hampton. Extremely private area, a lot of separate rooms with private lighting and tons of seating. Overall great getaway."
