  • Awesome!

"We had an awesome time staying in this house and would recommend it to anyone! We stayed here for two weeks with two young children. The first week my parents stayed with us and the second week my brother in law and his family stayed with us. It was the perfect house and super spacious. Everything was clean, comfortable and well taken care of. The kitchen was beautiful with great appliances and we were able to cook some meals at the house. The backyard had an outdoor bar with a TV and a fire pit for relaxing at night. I also want to note that this house was a short walk to Founder's Landing Beach, which was beautiful and also great for kids as it has swings and a slide right on the sand. The house also included many kids toys, including motor cars, train and a t-ball set, which also made it great for my kids! Finally, the house was not only walking distance to the beach, but also to the town of Southold. It was a great house and it was perfect for both the kids and adults. Would 100% stay here again!"

  • A lovely, beautifully maintained home in a great location!

"We wanted to explore the North Fork for the first time, and we were incredibly fortunate to discover that this lovely home was available. The location was perfect -- close to wineries, beaches, farm stands, shopping, and restaurants -- with a small bay beach in quick and easy walking distance right at the end of the road. The house is immaculately kept but relaxed and comfy. We felt completely at home here, with its spacious and well-equipped kitchen, tasteful and comfortable furnishings, and pleasant deck where we enjoyed our morning coffee and afternoon snacks. We love outdoor showers when we're on vacation, and the new and very large outdoor shower here was fantastic -- one of the best we've seen! Carolyn is a terrific "host" and provided us with loads of great information and recommendations about the area before we arrived, and was available during our stay for any additional questions we had. Joe had even picked out a bottle of wine to leave for us, which we truly appreciated and enjoyed throughout our stay. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful vacation home with us! We look forward to our next visit!"

  • An enjoyable stay at the Old Bay Home.

"Wonderful home, just as peaceful and comfortable as a farmhouse in a storybook! Let's see: THE HOUSE: Clean as a whistle; roomy; well laid out; lots of bathrooms; nice deck and porch, garage; big; comfy bedrooms. The premises are kept in perfect conditions. THE BEACH: The water was clear and warm and at night the stars were endless. See the Observatory in town. GREENPORT: Quaint and fun; lots of shops and good places to eat. We saw a wonderful live concert on the Green. SOUTHOLD: Lots of farm stands with lots of fresh veggies locally grown. We attended a car show and had a blast. WINERIES: Many, many of those, all different; each with fine wines of all types and tastes and sun filled settings. ACTIVITIES: Water (jet ski, fishing, kayaking etc.) all easily procured locally. Golf - 'nough said! Shopping - for the girls and guys. Biking - safe and fun Sightseeing - Shelter island is nice to check out. I forgot all the things to do, there were so many! Thank you Joanna and Dennis, good job!"

  • Perfect beach getaway

"My family and I rented this house for a beach getaway, it was lovely. The house itself is very clean, comfortable and decorated perfectly for a beach home with a lot of vintage pieces. The air conditioners keep the house nice an cool if you want or opening the windows to get a great cross breeze was nice as well. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking and dining and there was a great propane BBQ that we used to cook fresh fish each night. The property's back yard is on the lake with lush trees lining the yard and water. The back deck is great for sitting outside and dining. There is a nice cover so you can enjoy the deck without baking. The loungers are perfect for relaxing and taking in the scenery and noises of the lake. The backyard outdoor shower is also just divine! (Don't worry there is an indoor shower too--with great water pressure I might add.) Two short blocks away is the beach, which you can get to by waking or riding the Amazing vintage bikes in the shed. The shed is full of everything you might need for a successful day at the beach. Don't forget to stay for sunset, it never disappoints and a local man plays the bagpipes to help usher the sun down. The owners were very friendly and responsive with questions prior to our trip, left a detailed instruction sheet for us and were quick to respond to questions during our stay as well. We did not want to leave and will certainly be back."
