  • Impeccable appartments, great location, awesome hosts.

"We stayed four nights, late October 2016 occupying the Parlor and Garden units, first and second floor respectively. The apartments were in excellent condition, sober decor, ample space; linens were super soft, powerful shower, strong WiFi, you name it, hands down one of the best places I've stayed. The location was half a block away from the Lorimer train station, "L" line, going straight to Manhattan. Williamsburg has a fantastic night life as well and this location is in the midst of it all. The hosts were great from the first discussions, throughout the stay and afterwards. I strongly recommend this place. Looking forward to my next trip."

  • Fantastic stay in Harlem

"Our family of five (kids 14, 12, and 8) from California LOVED our stay in NYC. The apartment was an excellent size for all of us, with plenty of sleeping options. It was clean, cute, and stocked with everything we needed. Lauren and Peter were kind and helpful both before and during the trip! We left the house around 9am each morning to explore NYC, returning for bed around 9pm. We enjoyed long, exciting days in the city and easily rode the Metro back and forth from Harlem. I would stay here again in a heartbeat! Thank you, Lauren and Peter!"

  • Lots Good, Some Not So Much

"This was the 2nd time we stayed here. Last year there were only two of us, this time three. This time we rented the entire apartment and suite. I don't think more than two people would find the apartment comfortable for sleeping, which is why we also rented the "suite." The owner is VERY accessible since she lives upstairs and she is very responsive. She also knows the city inside and out and has made lots of great suggestions in a notebook in the apartment. The apartment is well located, easy walking distance to both subway and buses. It is on a residential street with restaurants and shops nearby. It's on the ground floor, so no flights to climb. The kitchen is very modern and well stocked with plates, pots, silverware, etc. There is a dishwasher. The adjoining dining table is quite suitable. Bonus feature: a large (for NY) backyard with table and chairs. Really unheard of in NY. Sadly, most of the furniture is rather shabby and badly worn. There are two new chairs in the LR, but the sofa and day bed are really bad. The bathroom with shower is in the bedroom, so anyone needing the toilet at night has to come through the bedroom, waking those asleep there. The "suite" has its own powder room. The bathroom has a distinctively moldy smell, even if the fan is constantly left running. I think this apartment is very roomy for NY, very well located and on a lovely tree-lined street."
