  • Great Location - terrific!

"Excellent location, close walking and subway to everything. Grocery close and convenient. Liz was terrific host, super organized, quick response to emails and texts. Apartment was great size for 2 adults and a "tween"! Apartment was well equip, very clean and comfortable, and bright. As mentioned in a few other reviews, the street side apartments are noisy - but thats NYC for you! - Nothing that a pair of ear plugs cant solve for the sensitive sleeper! Overall, highly recommend!"

  • Loved Toasty Brooklyn!

"This was our first time visiting the New York area and our family had the pleasure of staying at Nan & Gerard's apartment. There is a good reason they have so many 5 star reviews, it was a fabulous experience. The apartment is very clean and in great condition, just as we pictured a Brooklyn brownstone to be. Nan communicated very well with us, we were allowed to leave our bags there early, before check in time so we could spend the day sight seeing. She, unfortunately was away but her husband and daughter were welcoming and made us feel right at home. In the apartment there are so many good informational books about Brooklyn and New York. I wanted to sit and read them all day. The apartment is comfortable and well stocked for cooking any meals. Nan left us juice, bread and a pantry filled with all the supplies a family may need (or have forgotten). Such a thoughtful touch! There is so much to see and do in the area, we had fresh baked bagels at La Bagel every morning - delicious! The Fort Greene park is near, along with so many places to eat or just have a drink and watch the people go by. The subway is a short walk away so commuting to New York is quick and easy. We took the B train to Brighton Beach and walked to Coney Island on a day trip. If you go you have to have a Nathan's hotdog, that place is a landmark. If you're looking for the brownstone living experience we highly recommend this place, we just loved it and are already making plans to return. The Gallenbachs, Illinois"
