  • Awesome property

"We stayed here for our girls trip to New York City. There were five of us for most of the time and six for three nights of the trip. We had plenty of room for us, sleeping, luggage etc. the apartment is large and very nice. We didn't lack for anything it is furnished with just about everything you could want. It is very convenient to the bus lines that will take you right to the subway if you can take a nice stroll to the subway aboutv8-10 blocks. The delis and restaurants are close and the best bakery is only about three blocks away. The backyard is great although it was too cold most of Texas time for us to enjoy it. I would highly recommend this place to stay. You can walk right to the door from the sidewalk no stairs. It seemed very safe with the lock on the door and the gate that is locked to the small front porch. Will gladly stay here again."

  • Better than you will expect

"This place was awesome. Extremely clean. Very nicely furnished and fully equipped - down to a washer/dryer. All the rooms were surprisingly large - especially for NYC. Family room can easily seat 5 or 6; dining area for 6 or 8; huge kitchen. The master was large, private bath; walk-in closet; very comfortable. Extra pillows and blankets and tons of towels and related needs. Very cool garden patio off the master with sitting space for many. Second bed and bath were great. The bedrooms are in the back so they are quite and dark. Plus - there are several great restaurants on that very block - plus a cupcake store and a bodega at the end of the block. Nice upscale grocery store about 2 blocks away. And from the location, you can walk to everything in lower Manhattan - Nolita, Solita, Soho, etc. It is on the upper end of what we normally like to spend, but this was well worth it. If we come back to the east Village, this will be the place again. Plus, the owner emailed the day we arrived to see if everything was OK and refunded the security deposit mere days after departure. A class place and operation."

  • Amazing location

"The apartment was very homey, comfortable and quite spacious by NY standards. The location was unbelievable. Right in the heart of downtown, a quick walk to the lower east side, east and west village, SOHO, NOLITA, little italy, china town etc. The F train was close but for many destinations you would have to walk a bit or transfer trains. Haim was friendly and thorough with instructions to help maximize your comfort. The apartment was equipped with most everything you need for a stay in the city. The flat is just off of houston street, which is quite busy, yet it was very quiet inside. You could hear a little street noise on the main floor(i am a very light sleeper and it did not disturb me) but the downstairs was totally quiet. Overall this was a great find in a great location at a great price. The only slightly inconvenient aspect of this apartment is that it is not a 'true' 2 bedroom. Most NY apartments i saw for rent were not real 2 bedrooms either. This apartment has 2 floors, each serving as a separate living space and separated by a spiral staircase, there is no door. The upstairs has the main entrance, the kitchen and the bathroom. The downstairs is more private and isolated from the street noise, but you can hear everything happening upstairs very clearly and sometimes quite loud. This was not a problem for us and we made it work but I thought i would explain it since it wasn't exactly clear to me before my arrival. Who ever in your group stays downstairs will hear everything happening upstairs and whoever in your group stays upstairs will not have much privacy if anyone needs the kitchen, bathroom, or front door. Again not a problem for us but good to know. Thanks again to Haim for sharing his historic little gem in a prime location."

  • Great location!

"My daughter, her friends and I had a great stay in this apartment. Beware that it is "railroad style" which means you have to walk through each bedroom to get to the next. That was fine with us as we are all girls and comfortable with each other. It would earn 5 stars if the landlord would attend to some minor "handyman" issues. Bathroom mirror would not stay closed, shower curtain was too long and therefore it was being stepped on while we were showering, art work could be upgraded, some rooms could use a fresh coat of paint, and there was some stuff around (used paint cans). Again, an enjoyable stay, I am just being honest and I would stay there again, the improvements would be a bonus."
