  • Great location, lots of room in apartment, would stay again!!

"Really loved our stay here. A couple of negatives, but I think that is just due to overall NYC, and nothing really to do with this property. What I loved: Starbucks right across the street! that was fantastic. Restaurant right next door. 7-11 store around the corner, and just about 3 blocks to a subway station. Centrally located to many sites, it was easy to get around, easy to find and get back to, and staying in an apartment rather than a hotel is just awesome. Always felt safe. The apartment was large, very roomy, and the master bedroom and bath was quite large. Each bathroom was accessible without disturbing other bedrooms, and there is a nice size closet for luggage and unpacking. What I did not like: Two bedrooms were on the street side of the apartment and LOUD from the street noise. Lots of traffic noise, honking and even voices could be heard. I called it the "songs of nyc" and figure most places are going to have this issue, and I am from a small town and not used to that noise in my sleepy time:) One of the bathrooms had a very noisy fan that was on if the light was on, just a little nerve-wracking. The lighting in the apt was poor, especially in the bedrooms. It made it a little difficult for ladies to get ready, but the master bath had better lighting, so as long as you all make time to get in there for makeup, then it is fine. There were no extra blankets that I could find, and the apt was a bit cold. We had a radiator heater in the bedrooms that did help. The apt had more heat, but it had to be all on or all off, and so other people staying with us were a factor, and they did not want the heat on, plus the other rooms were comfortable. An extra blanket would have made a big difference (and I might would have slept on the couch or air mattress to get away from the noise from the streets.) Lastly, I have stayed in several vacation home rentals, and this was the least stocked one I have been in. Usually there are a few bottles of water, and basic spices and such, so that you don't have to buy all the necessities when shopping (especially in a city) and so that you can at least have some water after travelling before you have to get out and shop, especially if you arrive late and you are tired. So those few things would make this place a beyond perfect stay. All in all, it was a great stay. We had a great time in the city, and none of the negatives were enough for me to deduct a star from the rating."

  • Great location and a lovely apartment

"It's a long way up, but well worth it (plus good exercise). The apartment is just as pictured, and was perfect for our college friends' reunion. The kitchen is well equipped (though we only made breakfast there). The living room was perfect for late night talks with a comfy sofa and chairs. There is a nice flatscreen TV but we didn't use it. The beds were very comfortable (very much appreciated having 6 beds for 6 women, the kings separated into twins), plenty of towels. The Flatiron district has much to offer. The owner gave us suggestions on restaurants, grocery stores and more, all appreciated. Easy to get elsewhere in town via subway, Uber, or on foot (it's a walk to Penn Station). The owner was available by email, phone, or text. Definitely recommend this one. Just pack lightly so you can carry your luggage up to the 5th floor. So much nicer than hotel rooms for our group."

  • Great location

"This apartment is in a great location. Lots of good restaurants very close by including Eataly, Shake Shack (Madison Square Park) & Live Bait. Also near subway. A short subway ride to Times Square and short walk to The High Line. Wintson was very helpful to us recommending places to eat and pointing us toward the grocery store. I felt like he was watching out for us and check on us during our stay. Helped me feel safe going in and out. Apartment was fairly clean. Building is old just like most buildings in New York. Down side would be that we did not get the apartment in the photograph so outside area was not as nice. It was difficult to go in and out with the step and no handle to come back in. Loft is crawl space which is good for kids or teenagers but not so much for older adults. Tanya was very helpful with all our concerns and I would stay there again."
