  • 1880s Harlem Mansion

"Five ladies stayed in the house to celebrate my recent birthday. It is everything it says on the web site and more. The location is excellent for getting downtown, Central Park, in fact anywhere as it is located only five minutes walk from a sub way. Locally the area is really buzzing, with the famous Sylvia's and Red Rooster restaurants just nearby. With a large Wholefoods store just about to open it will just complete the area for convenience. However the house itself is in a really nice street with a park at the end. Joyce provides for everything in the house and you can't help but enjoy yourself. It's a perfect place to come back to at the end of a long days sight seeing or shopping. I will be back again for sure."

  • Great overall experience

"We had a great experience in this apartment. The place is sizable (much larger than your typical NYC apartment!), with two bedrooms and a spacious living area. We were five adults and one toddler, and we all had enough space. Margo and Vipin were also kind enough to arrange for a pack & play bed for my toddler. The apartment was very clean and we had everything we needed there for a 10-day stay. The commute to central NYC is really quick with the fast trains that stop a few blocks a way. Would definitely come again and recommend to others."

  • Charming Duplex

"This was a wonderful place to set up our home for the week. Bill is a responded fast to all my questions before we arrived and was available if we needed anything while we were there. What you see in the pictures is exactly what you get! I have to say that "2" is the magic number... 2 floors, 2 bedrooms and 2 full size bathrooms. Kitchen & eating area was perfect of us, might be tight for a bigger group. It was super clean, very comfortable and had just the right amount of warm touches to make feel like a home and not a process rental apartment. We hit one of the hottest weeks & the AC never failed. Bill was so worried about us staying cool that when we arrived home one night there was a note with an extra fan waiting at our doorstep. We did not need it but it was so nice he was worried about us. Super quiet home & neighborhood. It was convenient to buses, subway, groceries and restaurants. We loved the place so much that we are hoping to stay there this winter."

  • Quiet and comfortable flat in a busy city

"Our group of four adults loved the Harlem flat. It was clean, comfortable, well-equipped, reasonably-priced and conveniently located - the subway was about two blocks away and Central Park was within easy walking distance. We liked having access to the small back patio where we could sit and drink our morning coffee or evening beer. Norbet and Joycelyn were very personable hosts and have a booklet full of helpful tips about the neighbourhood. We particularly liked Paris Blues jazz club, Settepani restaurant, Bier International bar/pub and Double Dutch coffee house. We greatly enjoyed staying in this part of Harlem. While it was busy, it seemed like a peaceful respite compared to many parts of Manhattan. We highly recommend this apartment."
