  • Beautiful Brownstone

"Lovely place to stay away from the busyness of Times Square. Easy travel via the subway #1 Red. Cool to get a taste of the New Yorkers daily life staying in a brownstone in Hamiton Heights. Great near by grocery store on 138th. City college is amazing and great restaurants close by. Thank you to Darlyn for looking after us!!!"

  • Great stay in Harlem

"Just had a wonderful 3 night stay at this property. We were a party of 5 and there was more than enough room for us all. The apartment was as advertised, clean and updated with comfortable furnishings, linens and all kitchen appliances needed for the stay. Location was also great: grocery stores, restaurants and access to public transportation all within walking distance; quick trip to all NYC attractions. Mr. Kammer is an amiable host with a wealth of knowledge about the area to complement your stay."

  • Harlem Brownstone Apartment

"We stayed in Joycelyn's apartment from September 16 - 19. First off she was very accommodating with getting us in a few hours earlier than normal check in since our flights got us there around lunch time. The basement apartment is fabulous. The rooms were spacious enough for the four of us. The beds and furniture were in excellent condition and comfortable. There were AC units in both bedrooms and living room so you can adjust the temperature to your liking. Being someone who needs the white noise to sleep I was very happy to find those in the bedrooms. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes (even though we didn't use them) and was a good size. We used the back yard area the first night we were there and couldn't believe how quiet the neighborhood was. Staying in a basement apartment you're always worried about noise coming from those above you, but it never happened. As for the neighborhood - I loved it. We were very close to Sexy Taco which is a fabulous place to grab some shrimp tacos! We felt very safe there. I even went for a run to the upper part of Central Park and back up to 120th St. The apartment is VERY close to the 2 & 3 line trains, but unfortunately the lines went down for the weekend we were there. We were able to walk comfortably to the A/C/E lines at the corner of Central Park West (about 6 blocks away) to get to the Museum of Natural History and Midtown. I will definitely use Joycelyn's apartment on my next group trip to New York. Thanks again for such a pleasant stay!"

  • Great overall experience

"We had a great experience in this apartment. The place is sizable (much larger than your typical NYC apartment!), with two bedrooms and a spacious living area. We were five adults and one toddler, and we all had enough space. Margo and Vipin were also kind enough to arrange for a pack & play bed for my toddler. The apartment was very clean and we had everything we needed there for a 10-day stay. The commute to central NYC is really quick with the fast trains that stop a few blocks a way. Would definitely come again and recommend to others."
