                Great Location

                5 of 5
The room is as advertised - it is small but comfortable. It has sufficient storage space in the room plus a closet available in the common area. There is a bathroom in the room with a large shower and toilet plus a sink adjacent to the bed. The living room, dining room, and kitchen are large and the owner encourages you to use them. The apartment is in a great location a block from Riverside Park and the Hudson River, across the street from Columbia University, close to the Northern edge of Central Park, and near two subway stations - one a block away. The neighborhood is quiet with several good restaurants nearby plus a large grocery store. We were in New York to attend a Yankees game and a Mets game and had no trouble getting to either stadium using the subway. All in all, a great place to stay, particularly if you don't plan to spend a lot of time in your room.

My favorite apartment in New York

                5 of 5
When I arranged to rent Judy’s apartment on Riverside Drive for a few days in October 2011, I never imagined I would find such a large, spacious, luxurious and beautifully decorated New York apartment. When I entered, it was like finding myself in a different time: A drawing room with windows looking onto Riverside Drive and the park; next to it a music room, a dining room, a large kitchen, and all in all, too many rooms to count. Every room is comfortably furnished, and moreover is tastefully decorated with Tom’s paintings and other interesting art. I felt elevated to a higher rank in this apartment, and I would love to live here. The neighborhood is, in my opinion, the nicest in Manhattan – Riverside Drive and the Riverside park. A block away on Broadway are cafés, restaurants, grocery stores, and you are five blocks from Columbia University. You can get downtown in 10 to 20 minutes via the subway (on Broadway) or the 5th Avenue bus, which stops opposite the house on Riverside Drive. Dr. Charles Pinter Lewisburg, PA.
