  • Great Stay!

"This was a cozy loft. My family of 5 aren't used to sleeping so close but we did really well And had a blast! The decor was different than the pictures but whatever. Im not a nit picker and it worked out for us for the few days we were there. The door knob did fall off a few times and my husband had to fix it as best as he could. Good price for what it was and would refer!"

  • Beautiful home, with awesome owner, in a fun, easy, family-friendly location

"My daughter and I did not want to leave this wonderful home. It was comfortable, spotless, fresh and clean. We had everything we needed while we were there. Two weeks wasn't enough. What you see in the pictures of the apartment is what you will get and that is a great thing. It was super hot some of the days were were there, and the apartment remained cool and quiet. One night it was pelting rain, but I did not notice until I looked out of the window. Ray is wonderful, friendly and quite accommodating. My daughter was at a ballet program for two weeks. Consequently, we had lots of luggage. He allowed us to stow it before our check-in time and also after our check-out time. He was a life-saver. Ray will contact you before your arrival to arrange check-in and he does the same withe check-out. You will be in good hands. Ray knows all of the great, nearby places to eat and buy groceries. He has a great little concierge book in the apartment, as well as fun NYC books, and a map. That was more then we needed. He is very friendly and runs his rentals well. I ran into Ray a few times while I was out and about in the neighborhood. We would chat and it really was like talking with a friendly neighbor. Renting his apartment made our trip a great success! There are many "harder" places to stay in NY. He made it easy, fun, and pleasant. We loved coming "home" after a busy day. The neighborhood is safe and friendly. We felt like true New Yorkers. We were able to catch the subway easily, and also walk around and explore. It was great to be able to go downtown whenever we wanted, but we were also able to escape the noise and touristy areas. For those vegging days, there is a television. Ray also provided ample, clean linens. There were pots, pans and dishware so we could make many of our meals. He takes great care of the apartments. One day as I was returning from dropping off my daughter, he was outside painting the railing. It looked fine to me before, but you can tell he takes great pride in the property and very good care of it. I really appreciated that the apartment was non-smoking. The bathrooms were great. The shower and bath had wonderful water pressure so it was easy washing off the city at the end of the day. Ray provides an iron for clothes and even umbrellas. Everything is tidy and well-organized. We were able to truly settle in and not worry about anything. I would book this apartment again in a New York minute!"

  • Charming Duplex

"This was a wonderful place to set up our home for the week. Bill is a responded fast to all my questions before we arrived and was available if we needed anything while we were there. What you see in the pictures is exactly what you get! I have to say that "2" is the magic number... 2 floors, 2 bedrooms and 2 full size bathrooms. Kitchen & eating area was perfect of us, might be tight for a bigger group. It was super clean, very comfortable and had just the right amount of warm touches to make feel like a home and not a process rental apartment. We hit one of the hottest weeks & the AC never failed. Bill was so worried about us staying cool that when we arrived home one night there was a note with an extra fan waiting at our doorstep. We did not need it but it was so nice he was worried about us. Super quiet home & neighborhood. It was convenient to buses, subway, groceries and restaurants. We loved the place so much that we are hoping to stay there this winter."
