  • Clean, Quiet and Safe

"My friend and I loved our stay here! We wanted a real Brownstone neighborhood experience during our visit to NY, and we got exactly that. The apartment was full of lovely (some quirky!) architectural details, yet the bathroom and kitchen were very modern and upgraded. It was very clean. We didn't do any cooking, but the kitchen was great for storing leftovers. Sheila recommended some wonderful local restaurants that we enjoyed. Halsey St. had a couple of unique coffee shops, one a bakery also, just a few blocks east that were very nice. The subway stations were a short walk, and the bus to downtown Brooklyn drives right past the house. The only 'negatives' were the TV channels available (which we were too busy to watch much anyway) and that the bed and pillows were encased in a plastic covering that made the otherwise comfortable mattress kind of 'crunchy'. I would give the apartment 4-1/2 stars. We would stay again!"

  • Beautiful, serene and full of light!

"While visiting NY in October I wanted to stay here but wasn't able to. When I seen it available for a portion of my next visit to Brooklyn, I made it a point to jump at the chance to book it. I am so glad I did. First off, Keishera is a wonderful host, I felt welcomed and at home instantly before even arriving. My trip from California had a few delays and she worked with me, stayed in contact and we communicated as needed up to actually making it to the property for check in. The apartment is clean, tidy, beautiful, warm, with great energy and lots of light filling the space;just adds to the charm and coziness. Everything you need to feel comfortable is provided;including basics in the kitchen to start you off. The location is a great combo of a little off the beaten path and close enough to walk to the action! Grocery stores, coffee shops, restaurants all within less than a block away. Keishera was/is a wonderful host and her home is a home away from home;a great place to enjoy Brooklyn."

  • This is our second time.

"Wonderful stay. Location is perfect for getting around by public transportation or parking under the building. Good restaurants in neighborhood and grocery store across the street. Building and neighborhood are safe. Owner is easily accessible. Do not hesitate to rent this property."

  • Great Property for a Large Group

"This four bedroom home is spacious. Its large kitchen and living/dining area can easily accommodate a large group. We stayed for 15 days and found that a few finishing touches would have made the stay much more enjoyable. Three of the bedrooms are equipped with a large flat screen TV and nice looking bedding; but none of the four bedrooms have dressers or nightstands. Each room has only a bed. I found this to be vexing and had to stack my suitcases up to be able to set my eyeglasses down at night. The living room is similarly sparsely furnished. There is a single low wattage lamp, one end table and a coffee table. The couch and love seat do not adequately fill the large sitting area. The kitchen is well equipped, and I found that the number of glasses and coffee cups (2 dozen each) were handy. The appliances are nice and new and the overall look of the kitchen is finished. One of the cabinet doors was hanging off its hinge. The bathrooms were clean and updated. The bath mat in the guest bath was new and too large for the space making it impossible to close the door. We removed it and placed it in the hall. The shower curtain in the master bath is plastic, and curiously cheap-looking for a nicely redone bathroom with a jetted tub. There were sufficient towels. The basement is an empty cavernous room, with a closet full of air mattresses. This may be handy if you have a large group but come prepared, there is only one extra blanket and the few extra sheets look like they came from goodwill. There were however plenty of pillows. The washer and dryer were new and large. All this criticism should not deter a family or large group because the property is ideal for this kind of gathering. A few additional pieces of furniture would make it truly comfortable and remarkable. We enjoyed our stay, and at the end I forgot to return the keys and had to mail them back. Heather was kind and understanding. We were happy with the property and would gladly return."
