  • Great Location!

"The location is amazing: great restaurants, bars, shopping and music venues all in close proximity; Whole Foods just a block and a half away; and, easy access to subways. In addition, the apartment is comfortable with access to an awesome roof deck and Justin was a great host. I needed to ask him a couple of questions during my stay and he was extremely responsive. Two things to consider if you stay here. First, it's a 5th floor walk up, which was fine for me but something to consider if you have any physical issues. Second, it can get hot in the apartment, so be sure to understand where the thermostat is and how to set it on your first night. We learned the hard way. I would highly recommend this place for your stay in NYC."

  • Will definitely stay again. Great place!

"We were very happy with our recent stay. Place is large, comfortable and clean. Building feels very safe with the doorman and it is very quiet. We were able to catch a cab within seconds of walking out the door any time of day or night."

  • LOCATION, COMFORT, GREAT HOST

"I and my sister stayed here for 8 nights and loved the place. Very close to several subway lines (the E line is at the corner of 8th Avenue and 44th Street--which is only one block from the apartment--the E line will take you to the air train then into JFK for easy and inexpensive airport transportation). Only one block from Broadway, close to restaurants, shops, hop on hop off is across the street on 8th. I'd rate it a five stars except the apartment could use updating on the living room chairs (rips in the upholstery) and sofa (a bit worn) and the apartment smelled of cigarette smoke (from an adjacent apartment?). Open the window when you leave and it will smell more fresh when you return. Don, the owner, was VERY helpful and returned almost all emails the same day. This place won't disappoint you. I stayed in the bedroom and my sister stayed on the very comfortable sofa. (It pulls out to a sofa bed, but she just made up the sofa for a bed without pulling it out and it was large and comfortable for her.) The best part of this apartment is that it is so easy to go back to late in the afternoon to re-fresh, re-group and then go back out again, and the NYC subway is easy to figure out, so the fact that you're only a few blocks from the A, C, E, 1, 2, 3, 7, and N, R, Q lines is a great plus. Walk a couple of blocks to the Q line and go all the way to Coney Island with no transfers, or walk one block to the E line and get all the way to JFK with only one transfer to the air Train...."
