  • Well equipped bolt-hole on central subway for all NYC sights

"The owners have done a super job here. We were a family of 5 seeking a good value place to stay, whilst enjoying long days out in Manhattan. The upstairs apartment is 15 mins walk from the Astoria Blvd stop on the super-flexible 'N' line - and then on to the sights. We enjoyed staying in an authentic NYC neighbourhood and if you're self-catering, there are plenty of shops and a handy supermarket within a 10 minute walk. The apartment is tastefully decorated, clean, very well equipped and warm. Ilda was entirely accommodating and flexible about our arrival and leaving arrangements and helped us out with queries during our stay. The place worked out really well for us."

  • Clean, convenient brownstone Brooklyn (Bed-Stuy) apartment-thank you Brian

"We stayed in Brian's 2BR 1.5 bath apartment for 4 nights over Thanksgiving 2016. The location is a 10 minute walk to the express subway to Manhattan. It was an easy in/out to watch the Macy's parade. The neighborhood and apartment were quiet, and there was no problem finding on street (free) parking. You do have to abide by the alternate side street parking rules that are posted. There are small stores nearby for supplies and restaurants within walking distance. Got a haircut from a local barber. There was a dog park about 7 blocks away. There was a $50 pet fee for the stay which was reasonable. We bought renter's insurance; the security deposit was kind of steep (probably due to expensive woodwork) but we got it back no problem. The apartment was very clean, and we had plenty of room to make and serve a Thanksgiving meal. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware and spices, eggs, OJ and milk (we brought our turkey pan). Thank you, Brian for an awesome Thanksgiving experience. Hope to stay there again! B&T (NH)"

  • Perfect Alternative to NYC hotels

"We took a family vacation (4 adults, 1 teenager & 1 baby). As the other reviews say, plenty of room, clean, all necessities provided, nice hosts. If you don't mind a short walk to the train, this is the best way to see NYC. No NYC traffic or high priced hotels & parking fees. We loved it! I hope to stay here again & have already recommended it to others."
