  • Terrific Property & Highly Recommended!!!!

"I simply can't say enough about Julia Z’s 5th Ave Townhouse/5 Serviced Guest flats at Central Park. From the first contact to our goodbyes, everything was simply perfect! First off you cannot beat the location of these apartments. They are literally steps off of 5th Avenue and Central Park. The location is perfect for museums, shopping, dining and right next to the subway line. I strongly recommend this property for anyone planning a visit to New York City! These rentals are ultra-private, quiet and safe which is very important to us as we have rented apartments all over the world. One can stroll the neighborhoods night or day feeling very safe and at ease while passing all the Gastro-Pubs, Store Fronts & Bistros! The apartment is perfectly set up and VERY comfortable. You have EVERYTHING you need. Again we loved the fact the subway was so close by, plus a very nice supermarket, and spirit shop was just a few blocks away. The apartment was so incredibly quiet at night it was a delight to not have beeping horns or traffic to listen to. After staying in downtown Manhattan for years at hotels, I will NEVER go anywhere but here from now on. The value of renting these flats in comparison to any high end hotel does not even come close. The comfort of feeling like one is in their own home after a long day of walking & seeing the sights is priceless. The apartment had everything we needed and more (great Wi-Fi and Premium Networks). Lastly the communication with our host was invaluable. Julia helped us to find parking which is easily accessible both on the street and close buy if you prefer an affordable parking garage (77th & Lexington), she gave us great suggestions on where to dine (Orsay) and was available in person if need be. In closing we give this a 5 star rating for Location, Accommodation, Service, and Communication with our Host. We simply cannot wait to return. THANK YOU JULIA & CLAUDIO"

  • Wonderful apartment in Upper East Side!

"Beautiful, spacious, clean and comfortable apartment in a peaceful area of Manhattan! We stayed for a weekend and have no complains. It is close to the metro, to the park and to convenience stores for any necessity. The apartment has great character with Asian Antiques decorating it. Modern appliances are also there like washing machine and a fully equipped kitchen. Dealing with the owner was a pleasure, any request was quickly answered. We enthusiastically recommend it!"

  • Perfect location to enjoy Central Park & U.E.S.

"My family of 4 (+ dog) stayed here recently for a long weekend. Very convenient to C.P. and the Met/Guggenheim, as well as all Upper East Side environs. Plenty of good dinning/food choices nearby. The building owners (who reside on the upper floors of the building) rent several apts in the building, all of very good quality (we got a peek at some of the others). The owner (Julia) was always available for assistance, and was quick to respond. The building had the usual "old school NYC" characteristics; nice lobby, high ceilings, and good working elevator. We stayed in the "Grand White Loft", a 1 bedroom apt with 4 add'l beds/fotons nicely distributed in the living space. Though we spent most of our time out & about, the place had plenty of space and was more than comfortable enough. It all worked very well, and we'll be back!"

  • Love 1871 House!

"Stayed at 1871 from 5/10 to 5/17.....such a wonderful place to stay when visiting NY. First off.....sleeping in NYC can be problematic.....this is a quiet neighborhood late at night. The location is terrific.....plenty of access to subway and walking to Central Park takes 10 minutes. Shopping is great..Bloomies is two blocks away. 1871 House is really quaint.....decor is charming (Parlor room has a kitchen closet, which comes in handy for sure).... I highly recommend this property.....if you want modern this is not your place.....but if you appreciate old New York and the neighborhoods, you'll love it."
