  • Super cozy, dream location

"We were nervous about picking a random VRBO in NYC, but this apartment was more than we ever could have hoped for! Most of all, the location and price were incredible. You are located in the best of Manhattan--a stone's throw from Central Park and great museums. We were able to walk everywhere-the Met, Broadway to see shows, Central Park, and the Neue. There are also tons of great restaurants, coffee shops, and markets for all your meals. The apartment itself was fantastic also. We were there at Thanksgiving, and the apartment was wonderfully warm and cozy, with comfortable furniture, a nice comfy sitting area, and everything you need to make coffee and tea. Thanks so much for everything, and we'll definitely look to see if this place is available next time we plan a trip to NYC!"

  • Great Location and Large Space

"We stayed for 7 days in December and found the apartment to be a great place to base our NYC visit. As others have said, its a 5 star location - elegant old brownstone homes, safe, quiet, peaceful, close to subway, bus and in good proximity to terrific grocery stores. This particular building is the least attractive of all the others on the block. The room itself is substantial, allowing us to spread out and enjoy having a real table and sofa to relax on. The bathroom is also unusually large. The kitchenette is tiny but adequate for reheating take out or light meals. Everything worked for us. Hot water was plentiful. We didn't use the wifi. There were no instructions for it - you should ask Dov about it if you need it. The furnishings and decor are not what I'd call 5 star, but this is a budget accommodation so base your expectations accordingly. The building must have been quite elegant years and years ago from the looks of the wall and ceiling decoration but it is now serving its purpose as an affordable rental in a fantastic location for those of us not accustomed to NYC prices! The infamous bathroom door that others have mentioned slides effortlessly now and the sloping stairs were no big deal. Maybe they too had been reinforced or fixed somehow as they certainly felt secure, just a bit at an angle. The bed was comfortable. Yes, the linens and towels are mismatched and most are thin and an additional blanket in winter would be nice - however with the radiator heat you are cozy (so much so that we had the windows open all the time to moderate the heat). It was clean enough for us - it is a very old property so is not perfect. We would agree with others though that it would have been helpful to have an information sheet on things like what to do with the garbage, who to call if have problems, wifi password, where the subway/bus stops, groceries and restaurants are close by. If you are not fussy people but appreciate a good value this is a great place to stay. We hope to be able to return."

  • Better than described!

"The apartment is better than described. My wife and I stayed for more than a month and our grown children came for occasional overnight visits, so we got to know the apartment and the Trump International Hotel very well. I'll mention some things (in random order) that are important to me that are not in the description. - There are 2 heating/cooling zones so the Master BR has it's own thermostat as does the living area. - The water is very hot, virtually instant, and in all practical terms unlimited. - The motorized shades in the living room are great and very useful. - There is a generous and ample amount of closet space. - The "smart" lighting was programmed well and very well thought out. - The bottled water was free and unlimited (we drink a lot of water), same with the coffee K-cups. - Twice daily housekeeping was great and very, very nice, sweet, and attentive. - The hotel offers a pillow selection and these are the best hotel pillows we have ever had. My wife was recovering from surgery so we used many pillows for support and comfort. - The beds were also extremely comfortable. We have stayed in some of the finest hotels in the world, and I would say the beds and pillows and linens here are the best we have experienced outside of our home. - The linens and towels are replaced daily. - The Hotel car (Cadillac Escalade SUV and Mercedes GLS SUV) is free on a first come, first serve basis. Service starts at 9:00am. I don't know when it ends for the day. - The Kitchen served our purposes very well. We prepared many simple meals. The full-size appliances include a gas stove. - For $10 to $15 the hotel will send a runner out to buy any sort of item for you. For example, getting a bottle of wine or scotch delivered to the room is simply the cost at a local store plus the runner fee, delivered to the room and charged to the room. Very convenient and very fast. - Amazon Prime has a same day service in NYC so we used this and the hotel would immediately deliver the package to the room. - Security was great. We were there during the 2016 Presidential election and there were some small protests outside the building with a few (very few) rowdy individuals. These folks were kept at a distance and we always felt at ease, comfortable and safe coming and going from the hotel whether we were shopping at Columbus Circle or doing our daily jogs and walks in Central Park. - Finally, the owners were just fantastic. Sam was fantastic. THANK YOU!"
